What methods can cure glioma

What methods can cure glioma

Glioma is a tumor that occurs in the neuroectoderm. It is a common brain tumor, with the highest incidence rate among brain tumors. It is very harmful to the human body. Therefore, people are still very concerned about the treatment of glioma and have been looking for treatment methods. So, what methods can cure glioma?

Surgery is still the first choice for treating tumors, and gliomas are also treated with surgery. The risk of glioma surgery is still relatively high, and some patients are more averse to brain surgery and are unwilling to undergo surgical treatment. In fact, gliomas can be treated by other methods without surgery.

Radiotherapy for brain gliomas is an important part of the treatment of gliomas. Most of them are conventional radiotherapy, and the radiation dose of long-distance irradiation is correlated with the efficacy within a certain range. Studies have shown that patients with highly malignant gliomas have a significantly longer median survival when they receive a dose of 60Gy compared with 50Gy, but when the dose is increased to 70Gy, there is no significant difference in survival compared with 50 and 60Gy. Therefore, the radiation dose for glioblastoma patients is limited to 60Gy. Similarly, for low-grade malignant gliomas, it is also believed that the radiation dose should be 55-60Gy.

Chemotherapy for gliomas, chemotherapy is drug therapy, such as Diqing (temozolomide capsules) is currently an oral capsule preparation for the treatment of gliomas. Most are still mainly intravenous injections. Oral drugs will reduce the absorption effect through various metabolisms, and there is also the blood-brain barrier. In the treatment of gliomas, oral chemotherapy drugs are even less.

Treatment of brain glioma with traditional Chinese medicine, treatment with traditional Chinese medicine, single use for advanced stage that cannot be treated with other treatments, and combined use during other treatments. Although many ancient descriptions have included common symptoms of modern brain tumors. For example, headache, vomiting, epilepsy, paralysis, etc. Due to historical conditions, there is no such disease as brain tumor in traditional Chinese medicine, so there is no mature and targeted ancestral prescription, all relying on current experience accumulation. It can be said that there were also treatments for brain glioma in ancient times. Many modern studies on traditional Chinese medicine, such as ginsenoside Rh2, are traditional Chinese medicine for brain glioma. Ginsenoside Rh2 is a small molecule component that can act through the blood-brain barrier. Modern studies have found that it can directly inhibit the proliferation of brain glioma cells, and can induce apoptosis and differentiation, etc.

Targeted therapy for glioma is a relatively new treatment method. It can be said to be a treatment with chemotherapy drugs or biological treatment. It is a drug synthesized using biotechnology, which has better accuracy and better effect. This type of drug has its own unique behavior, which is targeted therapy.

Vascular endothelial growth factor is the most powerful factor known to promote angiogenesis. It directly acts on vascular endothelial cells to promote the proliferation and migration of vascular endothelial cells and then induce the formation of new blood vessels. Through the study of the interaction between adherent cells in the C6 rat glioma cell line and stem cell spheres formed by C6 cells and endothelial cells, Folkins et al. found that C6 glioma stem cells mobilize local endothelial cells and recruit bone marrow-derived endothelial progenitor cells to promote blood vessel formation by secreting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and stromal cell-derived factor 1. Tumors formed by brain tumor stem cells are richer in microvessels than tumors formed by tumor cells.

Different approaches will be adopted for patients at different stages, and only the best treatment method is the best.
