In Xijiao Dihuang Tang, rhinoceros horn clears heat, cools blood, and detoxifies (because rhinoceros horn is scarce and expensive, it is often replaced by buffalo horn). The combination of the two prescriptions is suitable for tongue cancer of fire toxicity and blood stasis type.
