Before surgery, patients can take in high-protein, high-vitamin, high-calorie foods. The total calories of these foods should be controlled within 2000-2500 kcal per day for patients with pituitary tumors. Among them, protein should account for about 20% of the total energy, sugar should account for 65% of the total energy, and fat should not be too high, keeping it at about 15%.

In terms of dietary precautions, you should also eat foods that can inhibit carcinogenicity, such as kohlrabi, cabbage, carrots, rapeseed, garlic, vegetable oil, fish, etc.

Do not eat salted, smoked, grilled or fried food, especially burnt or charred food. Stick to a low-fat diet and eat lean meat, eggs and yogurt regularly.

Before surgery, patients should take adequate carbohydrates that are easily digestible and absorbable, which can promote the preservation of glycogen in the liver. Carbohydrates can also maintain normal levels of blood sugar concentration and heat energy during surgery, thereby avoiding the harm of anesthetics to the liver of patients with pituitary tumors.

Patients can take in enough vitamins in their daily diet, because vitamins can meet the normal physiological needs of patients every day and can also replenish sufficient energy into the body. The intake of vitamins can be 100mg of vitamin C, 15mg of vitamin B1, 6mg of vitamin B6, etc.

Eat at regular times, in fixed amounts, and eat small but frequent meals. Eat more foods containing vitamins A, C, and E, and eat more green vegetables and fruits.
