Moxibustion treatment method for osteosarcoma

Moxibustion treatment method for osteosarcoma

As we all know, osteosarcoma is difficult to cure and prone to recurrence, so what are the moxibustion treatment methods for osteosarcoma? Before that, let me first introduce to you what osteosarcoma is? Osteosarcoma, also known as osteogenic sarcoma, is a malignant bone tumor that develops from the mesenchymal cell line. Because the tumor directly or indirectly forms tumor bone-like tissue and bone tissue through the cartilage stage, the tumor grows rapidly. The following is an introduction to the moxibustion treatment method for osteosarcoma.

Generally, moxibustion therapy for osteosarcoma is divided into two types: warm needle moxibustion and warm moxibustion device moxibustion.

1. Warm acupuncture:

It is a method of combining acupuncture and moxibustion, and is suitable for diseases that require retention of needles and are suitable for moxibustion. During the operation, after inserting the needle into the corresponding acupuncture point, the needle is retained by giving appropriate tonifying and draining techniques, and then pure and soft moxa wool is pinched on the end of the needle, or a moxa stick about 2 cm long is inserted on the needle handle, and then ignited for moxibustion. After the moxa wool or moxa stick is burned out, remove the ashes and take out the needle.

2. Moxibustion with a moxibustion device

It is a kind of cylindrical moxibustion tool made of metal, so it is also called warm cylinder moxibustion. The bottom of the cylinder is pointed or flat, and a small cylinder is placed inside the cylinder. The small cylinder has holes around it. When moxibustion is applied, put moxa or mixed medicine into the small cylinder of the warm moxibustion device, light it, buckle the cover of the warm moxibustion device, and then place it on the acupoints or the part to be moxibustioned, and perform ironing and moxibustion until the skin of the part to be moxibustioned becomes ruddy. It is used to harmonize qi and blood, warm the middle and dispel cold.

Usually, it takes 1-2 months to see results. Therefore, in the early stage of osteosarcoma diagnosis, moxibustion treatment is a good choice for osteosarcoma, but patients need to choose a regular medical institution for treatment.
