What is the cause of glioma

Many glioma patients who seek medical treatment usually ask this question: Why did I get glioma for no reason? In fact, glioma does not come for no reason. It is caused by certain causes. So what are the causes of common gliomas? Let me give you a detailed introduction below.

1. Biochemical environment: The levels of pigment oxidase, phosphokinase and ATP in glioma cells are lower than those in normal cells, but β-glucuronidase is higher than that in normal brain tissue. LDH is different from that in normal brain tissue due to the high metabolism of tumor tissue.

2. Physical factors of ionizing radiation: It has been confirmed that ionizing radiation can increase the incidence of tumors. The occurrence of tumors is the most serious long-term pathological change in humans and animals after exposure to radiation. Long-term exposure to radiation environments, such as X-rays, γ-rays, nuclear radiation, etc., will increase the chance of developing brain gliomas.

3. Origin of tumor: There is a theory that the cause of tumor is the embryonic remnant of primitive cells growing into tumors. These remnant cells can cause chronic proliferation due to inflammatory stimulation and form tumors. Multiple gliomas or gliomas may have more than one tumor.

4. Genetic factors: This does not mean that glioma is hereditary, but that due to the existence of some genetic factors, especially the defects of certain tumor suppressor genes, the possibility of glioma development in this type of people will increase under the influence of exogenous factors.

5. Bad living habits: such as being partial to certain types of food, drinking, smoking, etc. There is certainly not enough evidence to prove that these factors are related to the occurrence of glioma, but they have been confirmed to be related to the occurrence of gastrointestinal tumors and lung tumors.

6. Infectious factors: Some animal experiments have confirmed that certain infections can induce brain tumors (intracranial tumors), especially infections during pregnancy, which pose a greater threat to the future of the fetus.

The above are the causes of glioma introduced to you. In fact, glioma is not caused by a single reason, so in daily life we must develop good living habits and actively prevent the occurrence of glioma.
