What is the chance of curing ovarian tumors?

What are the chances of curing ovarian tumors? With the continuous progress of medicine, ovarian tumors are not as terrible as people imagine. They are curable, and the vast majority of ovarian tumors are benign. Some of them can even heal themselves without treatment. Therefore, women with ovarian tumors should not be afraid. The chances of curing ovarian tumors are still very high.

Ovarian follicular cysts are formed when the follicles are immature or mature but do not ovulate, and fluid is retained in the follicles. The diameter of this cyst is generally no more than 5 cm. Most patients have no symptoms. A few patients may have a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen and menstrual disorders, which often disappear on their own after a few weeks.

Ovarian corpus luteum cyst is also a common disease. It is caused by liquefaction of hematoma during the formation of corpus luteum. Its diameter is usually less than 3 cm. Such patients may have delayed menstruation or continuous bleeding and abdominal pain. Cysts are often found when they seek medical treatment due to these symptoms. After pregnancy, the corpus luteum can also enlarge and form cysts, which usually disappear on its own after 3 months of pregnancy.

Ovarian lutein cyst is less common than the previous two types. It is only seen in hydatidiform mole. It is formed due to excessive proliferation of the villous epithelium and excessive luteinization reaction. There are many cysts of different sizes, often occurring on both sides. The diameter of the largest one can exceed 10 cm. In this case, surgery is not necessary (except for those with complications). After the hydatidiform mole is expelled, the cyst can gradually shrink and disappear naturally after a few weeks or months. In some patients, the cyst will increase for a period of time after the hydatidiform mole is expelled, but it will eventually disappear.

Ovarian tumors are mostly hidden in the pelvic cavity and are difficult to diagnose early. If an ovarian tumor becomes malignant, it will develop rapidly and have a poor prognosis. Therefore, once an ovarian tumor is discovered, an ultrasound examination should be performed and surgical treatment should be performed in a timely manner if necessary.

The above is the specific content of the analysis on the probability of curing ovarian tumors. I hope it can be helpful to everyone and I wish you good health.
