Teratoma is a type of benign ovarian tumor that can occur at any age, but is more common in middle-aged women. So, what are the daily dietary principles for patients with teratoma?

What kind of food can be eaten to regulate mature ovarian teratoma? High-protein, high-calorie foods, such as eggs, milk, duck, meat, etc., should be given to ensure adequate daily nutrition intake to promote recovery. To increase appetite, you can do light activities for 4 to 5 minutes before eating, and you can eat small meals frequently. Avoid alcohol, spicy, hot, and irritating foods, control high-fat diets and low-fiber foods, try to eat less fried, smoked, and pickled foods, and drink more yogurt, mushroom soup, kelp soup, and yellow croaker soup. However, the first meal after the operation should be liquid or semi-liquid, but the general principle is to supplement all the ingredients needed for the growth of body tissues.

Dietary principles

1. After the removal of ovarian teratoma, women should pay attention to eating more nutritious foods, such as sesame, almonds, wheat, barley, and pumpkin, and avoid eating irritating foods. They should also pay attention to rest well to avoid affecting the recovery of the body.

2. It is advisable to eat more foods with anti-tumor effects: turtle, horseshoe crab, dragon ball tea, seahorse, hawthorn, etc.

3. People with bleeding should eat sheep's blood, snails, squid, mussels, shepherd's purse, lotus root, watercress, ginkgo nuts, mushrooms, stone ear, dried persimmon, etc.

4. If infected, it is advisable to eat eel, clams, carp, water snake, celery, toon, sesame, buckwheat, rapeseed, mung bean, red bean, etc.

5. If you have abdominal pain or bloating, you should eat pork kidneys, bayberry, hawthorn, walnuts, chestnuts, etc.

6. Qi and blood damage after surgery will lead to a decline in physical fitness. The most important thing at this time is to replenish qi and blood. You can eat warming foods such as longan and red dates. Old hen soup is also a good choice. Do not eat cold foods.

7. After anesthesia for ovarian teratoma surgery, patients should fast for 6 hours, and then they can eat liquid diets without sugar or milk. After the patient's anus is exhausted after surgery, they can eat semi-liquid food, and after defecation, they can eat normal food. Patients are encouraged to eat high-protein, high-vitamin diets to enhance the body's immunity, promote wound healing, and keep bowel movements smooth.

9. Do not eat fried, moldy, greasy, pickled food, or spicy food.

10. Patients with ulcers and bleeding symptoms should not eat warm foods, such as leeks, ginger, pepper, lamb, cinnamon, etc.

11. Patients with severe itching symptoms should not eat seafood and irritating or allergenic foods. They can eat more amaranth, cabbage, mustard greens, taro, kelp, seaweed, etc.

12. Avoid warm and blood-moving foods such as mutton, dog meat, leeks, and pepper.

13. Avoid irritating foods such as onions, garlic, peppers, cinnamon, etc.

14. Avoid smoking and drinking.

15. Avoid greasy, fried, moldy, and pickled foods.
