The process of bloody metastasis of endometrial cancer

Endometrial cancer metastasis, compared with benign tumors, malignant tumors will spread and metastasize in the patient's body. As one of the more common malignant tumors, how does endometrial cancer spread? Endometrial cancer metastasis, endometrial cancer is a local manifestation of systemic diseases. As the disease progresses, the tumor is likely to spread and metastasize in the following ways:

Endometrial cancer metastasis

1. Hematogenous metastasis: Patients may develop hematogenous metastasis, but it is less common than direct spread and lymph node metastasis. Hematogenous metastasis can generally reach the lungs, liver, bones, etc.

2. Lymph node metastasis: Lymph node metastasis is easy to occur, and its location varies with the location of the tumor. When the tumor involves the cervix, the most common metastasis is pelvic lymph node metastasis. When the tumor involves the fundus of the uterus, its lymph node metastasis can pass through the broad ligament to the iliac vascular group lymph nodes, and even to the para-aortic lymph nodes; a few can pass along the round ligament to the deep and superficial inguinal lymph nodes.

It can also reach the upper vagina, fallopian tubes and ovaries through the lymph nodes around the uterus.

3. Direct spread: The early metastasis of patients is generally direct spread. The tumor can invade the cervical canal downward along the mucosal surface, and can reach the uterine cornu, fallopian tube, ovary and pelvic cavity upward; it can also invade the deep muscle layer and even penetrate the uterine wall to reach the parauterine or pelvic and abdominal cavity.
