The difference between endometrial cancer and uterine cancer

Clinically, what is the difference between endometrial cancer and uterine cancer? I believe that many women are very concerned about this issue. Regarding this issue, experts believe that endometrial cancer and uterine cancer are two completely different diseases in nature. In terms of malignancy, uterine cancer is more terrible and more threatening, while the impact of endometrial cancer is limited to infertility.

1. Common symptoms of endometrial cancer

The symptoms of uterine fibroids are not so obvious, and only manifest during menstruation, such as menorrhagia, which mostly occurs in submucosal and intramural fibroids, and manifests as menorrhagia, prolonged menstruation or irregular vaginal bleeding. The main reasons for increased bleeding are: the increase in the area of the endometrium, the proliferation of the endometrium due to the action of estrogen, the fibroids hinder the contraction of the uterus, and affect the blood circulation to cause endometrial congestion. Due to long-term bleeding from the lower abdominal mass, patients often have varying degrees of anemia. In addition to the pain caused by compression of the pelvic nerves, the pedunculated submucosal uterine fibroids cause uterine contractions in the uterine cavity and produce pain. When the uterine fibroids block the cervical canal and hinder the outflow of menstrual blood, it can cause dysmenorrhea.

The most common symptoms of uterine cancer are:

Uterine cancer is different. As a cancer, it can cause irregular vaginal bleeding. Bleeding can occur at any time, except for hormone therapy. If a postmenopausal woman who is taking hormone replacement therapy has vaginal bleeding similar to menstruation, it indicates the possibility of uterine cancer. Therefore, if there is any abnormal vaginal bleeding or heavy bleeding, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. Vaginal discharge that is pink, brown, watery or sticky and has a strange smell. Pelvic examination reveals an enlarged uterus. Weight loss, weakness, pain in the lower abdomen, back and legs. This happens when the cancer metastasizes or spreads.

It can be seen that these two diseases are very easy to distinguish. Endometrial cancer is easier to treat clinically, while uterine cancer must be treated promptly once diagnosed. After all, it is a cancer. If not treated in time, it may cause cancer cells to spread and affect other tissues.
