Can B-ultrasound detect uterine cancer?

Cervical cancer is a common malignant tumor in the female reproductive organs. It brings troubles to the daily life of many female patients. So can B-ultrasound detect cervical cancer? B-ultrasound can check whether there are substantial lesions, such as uterine fibroids, uterine tumors, etc. But it cannot detect cervical cancer. To confirm cervical cancer, other tests are needed to draw a conclusion. Cervical cancer examination methods:

1. American TCT liquid-based cell detection technology: The introduced international cutting-edge cervical cancer diagnosis technology, the American TCT liquid-based cell detection technology, uses cervical exfoliated cells collected with a special sampling brush during gynecological examinations, and makes a single-layer thin smear after high-speed oscillation and high-speed centrifugation in the preservation solution. After Papanicolaou staining and microscopic observation, the corresponding diagnosis is made based on the cell changes under the microscope.

2. LEEP surgery: LEEP surgery is suitable for removing various cervical lesions. While removing the lesions, it can preserve the histological specimens intact, so it has the dual functions of diagnosis and treatment.

3. Colposcopy: A colposcope is a magnifying endoscope between the naked eye and a low-power microscope. It makes a diagnosis by directly observing the morphological structure of the vascular epithelium on the surface of the cervix through magnification. It is a clinical diagnostic method.

4. HPV DNA testing: HPV DNA testing is a genetic testing method that estimates the risk of cervical cancer based on the typing of HPV. It can be used as an additional test for patients with abnormal cytology results (mainly ASCUS), and the testing price is relatively high.

5. Cytological examination

Traditional Pap smear method: Cervical scraping is a traditional cytological examination method, which has successfully reduced the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer by 70% worldwide in the past 50 years. However, the Pap smear method is easily affected by factors such as sampling method, production process, staining techniques, and reading water, resulting in a high false negative test result, and it no longer meets the needs of today's medical services.

New Prepone Thin-Layer Liquid-Based Cytology Examination: This is a new cytological technology invented in the late 1990s. It has completely changed the traditional manual smear method of Pap smears. It collects cell samples by using an efficient sample collector that conforms to the human body structure, and all samples are stored in a preservation solution containing the patented ingredient EDTA. The cells are then collected through a controllable, fully automatic, high-precision filtration technology (CMTTM) for automatic slide preparation.
