What are the causes of hepatocellular carcinoma?

What are the causes of hepatocellular carcinoma?

Hepatocellular carcinoma cancer cells are arranged in solid masses surrounded by dilated sinusoids. The cancer cells have unclear boundaries, are relatively uniform in size, and have wide plasma. The nucleus is single, round, and not obviously heteromorphic. Nuclear division is rare. Hepatocellular carcinoma ranks fifth in the incidence of cancer worldwide, and its mortality ranks third in the cause of death from cancer. So what are the causes of hepatocellular carcinoma?

1. Hepatitis B virus and hepatocellular carcinoma: Most liver cancer patients in my country are transformed from hepatitis B.
2. Hepatitis C virus and hepatocellular carcinoma: The survey found that the positive detection rate of anti-hepatitis C virus in liver cancer patients is significantly higher than that in healthy people. Some people have confirmed through the detection of replication intermediates in liver cancer tissue that there is replication of hepatitis C virus in cancer tissue, and hepatitis C virus RNA has also been detected in cancerous tissue of liver cancer. Therefore, hepatitis C has a clear tendency to become chronic and is easy to turn into cirrhosis. It is generally believed that chronic infection of hepatitis C in patients with cirrhosis is a risk factor for liver cancer, and it is suggested that hepatitis C may have a direct carcinogenic effect.
3. Alcohol and hepatocellular carcinoma: Surveys have shown that long-term heavy drinking is related to liver cancer. It is generally believed that the relationship between excessive drinking and liver cancer is achieved through fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis and cirrhosis.
Hopefully, the above-mentioned knowledge can be of some help to you. Experts remind you that liver cancer is extremely harmful to your health and can even be life-threatening, and early detection is very helpful for treatment. Therefore, if you feel unwell, you should go to the hospital for a checkup in time to ensure your health.
