What diseases are likely to be complicated by lymphoma

Lymphoma is a malignant tumor originating from the lymphatic hematopoietic system, which is mainly manifested by painless lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, and all tissues and organs in the body may be affected, accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever, night sweats, weight loss, and itching. So what diseases are prone to complications of lymphoma?

1. Liver and spleen Invasion of the liver parenchyma can cause enlargement. Biopsy shows that about 25% to 50% of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas involve the liver, especially in follicular or diffuse small cleaved cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Splenic infiltration is mostly caused by the spread of abdominal lymph node lesions through lymphatic vessels.
2. In non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, about 25% of chest cases develop pleural effusion during the course of the disease. In addition to tumor infiltration, it may also be caused by mediastinal involvement and lymphatic obstruction.
3. Malignant skeletal lymphoma invading bones may cause local pressure pain and pathological fractures.
4. Skin-specific skin lesions are more common in T-cell adult leukemia, Fobama syndrome or mycosis fungoides, with various manifestations, including lumps, subcutaneous nodules, infiltrative plaques, ulcers, papules, macules, etc., often first seen in the head and neck. Herpes zoster is also common in Hodgkin's disease, accounting for 5% to 6%.
5. Tonsillar and oral, nasal and pharyngeal lymphomas: 96% of cases involving the oral, nasal and pharyngeal areas are diffuse pro-lymphocytic and histiocytic non-Hodgkin lymphomas, with the most common sites being the soft palate and tonsils, followed by the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, and less common in the nasopharynx and tongue root. Local tumors and submandibular lymphadenopathy can be seen clinically.
