What is comprehensive rhinoplasty

What is comprehensive rhinoplasty

People who choose to have a rhinoplasty usually go to a plastic surgery hospital. When they go to the plastic surgery hospital, the doctor will discuss some surgical plans for the rhinoplasty with them in detail. Because everyone's nose shape is different, the surgery required during rhinoplasty is also different. Most people's noses are not good-looking, so they need to undergo rhinoplasty. The following article will provide you with some relevant knowledge about rhinoplasty.

Comprehensive rhinoplasty generally consists of the following parts:

1. Rhinoplasty: The main problem for Chinese people is that their noses are too big and need to be reduced.

2. Tip nose reshaping is the core of comprehensive rhinoplasty. Most Chinese people have big, short, and upturned noses, and need cartilage surgery, reconstruction, and cartilage removal for correction. Reducing the tip of the nose and lengthening the nose are the core of the surgery and produce the best results.

3. Nose root plastic surgery, also known as nose bone plastic surgery. Most Chinese people have wide noses, so they can have their noses narrowed. It may sound scary to hear about moving bones, but it is actually a very small operation. Unfortunately, a small operation also means that the effect is minimal.

4. Rhinoplasty: Most Chinese people have collapsed nasal bridges and need rhinoplasty, but the prosthesis can only be used on the nasal bridge, not on the nose tip. It is best to use your own cartilage or expanded polytetrafluoroethylene.

Generally speaking, the nose is a whole, and needs to be assembled like building blocks, one part at a time, to make it look good. This is comprehensive rhinoplasty. Comprehensive rhinoplasty refers to a single operation to change the height and shape of the nose by implanting appropriate materials. It is a comprehensive nasal plastic surgery, which mainly includes 9 plastic surgeries: expanded (silicone) rhinoplasty, nose tip reduction, nasal wing reduction, rhinoplasty, nostril reduction, columella lengthening, upturned nose correction, hump repair and re-repair of failed rhinoplasty.

Suitable nose shape

1. Low nose: refers to the entire nose bridge from the root to the tip being relatively low. Strictly speaking, each ethnic group has an average nose bridge height. If it is lower than this value, it is called a low nose. Some people use the height of nose bridges of Western people as a standard and think that their own nose bridge is low, which is obviously inappropriate. In addition, the height of the nose bridge must be determined in combination with various features such as face shape.

2. Saddle nose: It is a common nasal deformity in my country. Like a low nose, the height of the nose bridge is lower than normal, the bone and cartilage parts of the nose bridge are mostly concave, but the tip of the nose is upward and shaped like a saddle.

3. Straight nose: The height of the nose bridge is acceptable, but the shape is straight and lacks the proper cone feeling. The highest point is not at the tip of the nose.

4. Drooping nose: The nose tip is drooping, and the highest point of the nose is located on the nasal bridge.

5. Nose with a low root of nose: The root of the nose is low and flat, the shape of the nose tip and the nose bridge is acceptable, the distance between the eyes is wide, the nose is short, and the proportions seem unbalanced.

6. Wavy nose: There are two depressions on the central axis of the nose, making the central axis of the nose incomplete and unsmooth.

7. Horizontal nose with nostrils: Due to the underdevelopment of the nose tip, the nostrils are not upright and are in an "eight" shape. The nose wings are wide and flat, which is a common secondary nasal deformity after cleft lip surgery.

8. Upturned nose: The nostrils are turned upwards, as if the nostrils are facing the sky.

9. Big nostril nose: Big nostrils make the face look particularly asymmetrical.

10. Big nose: The nose tip is huge, and the nose tip and nose bridge are disproportionate.

11. Short nose: The nose bridge is short, as if there is only the tip of the nose.

12. Failed rhinoplasty: Those who have undergone rhinoplasty surgery but whose nose has become ugly due to failure.
