Can blood tests detect skin cancer?

Cancer is always frightening because it threatens people's lives. Skin cancer is one of them. Can blood tests detect skin cancer? Some people have such doubts. In fact, blood tests alone are not accurate enough for skin cancer. Pathological examinations must be taken from the affected skin to confirm the diagnosis after cancer cells are found.

1. Squamous cell carcinoma is often formed by the transformation of keratosis, leukoplakia and other precancerous diseases. It grows relatively fast and forms ulcers at an early stage. Some are nodular or cauliflower-shaped, with less deep invasion and a movable base; some are butterfly-shaped, with more obvious deep infiltration and great destructiveness, and most of them will involve bones. Squamous cell carcinoma is often accompanied by purulent infection, and is accompanied by symptoms of foul odor and pain.

2. Basal cell carcinoma has no obvious symptoms at the onset. In the early stage, it is common to see hard plaque papules on the base, some of which are wart-like protrusions, and then break into ulcers, which are irregular, with raised edges, like craters, and uneven bottoms, and grow relatively slowly. Metastasis is very rare, and the ulcers are shallowly ulcerated with translucent nodules on the edges. As they slowly expand, they can erode surrounding tissues and organs and become erosive ulcers.

3. Malignant melanoma: This is a highly malignant skin cancer that metastasizes quickly. Western countries not only have a high incidence rate, but also a high mortality rate. Chinese people have more pigmentation in their skin, which has a good protective effect against ultraviolet rays. Malignant melanoma is rare in China. Since melanoma is black, it is easier to find. Therefore, if black spots are found on the nails, nail beds, soles of the feet, and other parts of the body, and they have expanded significantly in the near future and are prone to ulceration, or half of the nail is black, you should be alert and go to a regular hospital for examination in time.

Skin cancer has a higher incidence in Western countries, but it also affects people in China. Like other cancers, it endangers people's lives, so everyone must pay attention to this disease. After discovering the signs of the disease, you must go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible, so as to effectively reduce the harm of the disease.
