Successful cases of Chinese medicine in treating gallbladder cancer

Mr. Li is 55 years old this year. In 2004, he was diagnosed with a mass in the gallbladder. During laparotomy, it was found that the gallbladder cancer had invaded the liver hilum and pancreatic head. The intra-abdominal cancer had metastasized widely and could not be removed. Half a month after the operation, he developed ascites and a small amount of pleural effusion. After multiple Western medical treatments, the results were not good, so he went to see a traditional Chinese doctor.

Mr. Li's first visit symptoms: hiccups that continued, worse after eating, phlegm and chest fullness, unbearable abdominal distension and pain, abdomen as big as a drum, thin body, indifferent expression, yellow eyes, dry stool, once every 2-3 days, yellow urine, slippery white greasy tongue coating, slippery pulse. Tumor radioimmunoassay: CA199550.30U/mL.CEA29.50ng/mL, CA15335.51U/mL, Fe protein>1000ng/mL. The syndrome was bile accumulation and liver qi reversal, phlegm and water retention, and lung and stomach qi reversal.

The prescription is: scutellaria baicalensis, jujube, white mustard seed, perilla seed, radish seed, cinnamon twig, tuckahoe, bupleurum, corydalis, pinellia tuber, tangerine peel, artemisia capillaris, codonopsis pilosula, stir-fried atractylodes, white peony root, turmeric slices, liquorice. Take 1 dose per day, decoct in water, and take warm in 2 doses.

Second visit: The stool became softer, hiccups improved, and the medication was continued for 2 weeks. The abdominal distension and pain were significantly relieved, but the patient was thin, had poor appetite and fatigue, pale tongue, and thin pulse. Remove the scutellaria and jujube from the above formula. Add chicken gizzard lining, radish seeds, stir-fried hawthorn, bupleurum, corydalis, cinnamon twig, white peony root, tuckahoe peel, zewu, tangerine peel, fructus aurantii, Panax notoginseng, August twig, lily bulb, euphorbia pulex, Artemisia capillaris, and turmeric slices.

Multiple follow-up ultrasound examinations after 6 months showed that the lesions in the gallbladder, pancreatic head, and abdominal cavity were stable, with no new lesions appearing. The pleural effusion and ascites were significantly reduced, the abdominal distension and pain were eliminated, the jaundice subsided, the appetite increased, and the patient could take care of himself. The Kamofsky score was 90 points.
