AIDS is a disease that has not yet been completely cured even with the development of modern medical technology. AIDS is transmitted in many ways, but mainly through sex and blood. Because AIDS is an immune system disease, patients often experience a series of symptoms during the onset of AIDS. Some AIDS patients will develop rashes on their skin surface. Will the rashes of AIDS patients itch?

Does HIV rash itch?

AIDS rash can be itchy. The rash usually occurs 2-4 weeks after HIV infection, and is mostly in the form of a zoster-like rash that occurs on the limbs and trunk. There are about 70 or 80 regular arrangements. It can heal itself in 1-2 weeks. It may feel painful and itchy to touch.

What to do if you have AIDS rash

1. Avoid direct sunlight or extreme cold. These are all factors that trigger HIV rash and can make your HIV rash worse. If you are going outside, apply sunscreen to your body to protect your skin, or wear long sleeves and pants. Wear a coat and warm clothing when you go outside to avoid exposing your skin to extreme cold.

2. Take cold baths and showers. Hot water can irritate your rash. Skip the hot bath or shower and go for a cold bath or sponge bath to soothe your skin. You can use warm water and pat, rather than rub, onto your skin in the shower or bath. After your bath or shower, help your skin heal with an all-natural moisturizer, such as one containing coconut oil or aloe vera. The top layer of your skin acts like a sponge, and once you irritate your pores, applying moisturizer will trap water in your skin and prevent dryness.

3. Switch to mild soap or herbal shower gel. Chemical soaps can irritate the skin, causing dryness and itching. Look for a gentle soap, such as baby soap, or an herbal bath soap. Avoid products containing chemicals, such as petroleum jelly. These are synthetic ingredients that can irritate your skin or cause an allergic reaction. You can also use natural moisturizers such as olive oil, or herbal body washes, such as those containing aloe vera or almond oil. Be sure to use an all-natural moisturizer to protect your skin all day long.

4. Continue to take antiviral drugs. Keep the HIV medications your doctor prescribes running. As long as you don't have an allergic reaction to the drug, it can improve your T-cell count and treat symptoms like HIV rash.

Early symptoms of AIDS patients

1. Persistent and widespread lymphadenopathy, especially in the cervical, axillary and inguinal lymph nodes. The lymph nodes are enlarged to about 1 cm in diameter, are hard, painless, and movable, and have lasted for more than three months.

2. Unexplained fever and night sweats for several weeks.

3. Severe, unexplained fatigue that has occurred for several weeks.

4. Decreased appetite and weight loss of more than 10% of original body weight within two months.

5. Chronic diarrhea of unknown cause has occurred for several weeks, which is watery and occurs more than 10 times a day.

6. Shortness of breath and dry cough for several weeks.

7. Large flat or raised pink or purple spots appear on the skin and mouth, which are neither painful nor itchy.

8. White film appears in the pharynx and larynx. Men have scaly spots and itching on their genitals; women have anal itching, vaginal itching, and leucorrhea that are often treated as gynecological diseases but do not heal for a long time.
