Nursing after gallbladder cancer surgery

Nursing care for patients with gallbladder cancer who have their gallbladder removed surgically includes:

(1) Preoperative preparation:

① Follow the general preoperative care routine of abdominal surgery.

② Provide a low-fat diet and no irritating foods such as alcohol.

③Perform an enema with warm saline or soapy water once the night before surgery.

(2) Postoperative care:

① Follow the general surgical postoperative care routine.

②Observe changes in vital signs.

③ For those with jaundice, continue to use vitamin K after surgery and observe whether there is bleeding in the nasal cavity, oral cavity, incision and drainage tube. For those with itchy skin all over the body, gently wipe it with an ethanol cotton ball. Avoid scratching the area and avoid scrubbing with hot water or soapy water to prevent skin bleeding and infection.

④ Care for gastric tube and T-tube placement shall follow the relevant chapters.

⑤ Pay attention to turning over and skin care to prevent bedsores.

⑥ After the gastrointestinal function is restored, give liquid food, and give low-fat semi-liquid food after 5 days, and then gradually give soft food and low-fat diet
