Topical medication for skin cancer

Skin cancer patients can try some topical medications with the permission of their attending physician or pharmacist.

1. If skin cancer forms ulcers or cauliflower-like tumors or is infected with pus, juice, foul odor, etc., you can use Chinese medicine to soak and wash before applying external medicine. Soaking formula: decoct Cnidium monnieri, Solanum nigrum, Patrinia scabra, Taraxacum officinale and other medicines together, and soak the affected area with the medicine liquid 1 to 2 times a day.

2. Nongjili fluid extract: Make Nongjili into an extract and apply it to the affected area, changing the dressing once a day.

3. Toad venom ointment: Take 10g of toad venom, dissolve it in 30ml of cleaning solution, and then add 40g of sulfonamide ointment. Mix the above medicines evenly and apply an appropriate amount to the tumor each time.

4. Scrape off the thorns of the cactus, mash it into a paste, spread it on gauze, apply it to the affected area, and then fix it with a bandage, once a week.

5. Grind 60g of calamine, 60g of myrrh and 1.5g of borneol into fine powder, then mix with 250g of lard and pound into an ointment, then apply to the affected area. It can be used to treat cancerous ulcers.

6. Bleomycin: In clinical practice, 0.1% or 2% ointment is usually applied to the cancerous lesions 1 to 2 times a day. The efficacy of the ointment can be preserved for 6 months at normal room temperature.

7. Fluorouracil: In clinical practice, 0.5% ointment is generally applied to the cancer focus 1 to 2 times a day. It has a good effect on superficial basal cell carcinoma and carcinoma in situ of squamous cell carcinoma.
