5 misunderstandings about breast cancer treatment

Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor in women. With the increase in its incidence and people's concern about health, the understanding of breast cancer is also constantly improving, but there may still be the following misunderstandings:

Misconception 1: Failure to seek timely treatment after symptoms are detected. When many women find a lump in their breast, they feel something is wrong, but are too shy to go to the hospital for further examination and diagnosis. They have a great deal of fluke mentality, thinking that it is unlikely to be breast cancer, and as a result, they miss the opportunity for early diagnosis and treatment.

Misconception 2: Diagnosed breast cancer patients do not believe in scientific and regular treatments, but instead rely too much on unconventional treatments and are overly superstitious about folk remedies and secret recipes. As a result, they not only waste a lot of money, but also delay the disease.

Myth 3: Breast cancer patients underestimate endocrine therapy and believe that it is ineffective. During treatment, they take medication intermittently and cannot persist for a long time. In fact, the endocrine therapy cycle generally takes about 5 years to achieve definite therapeutic effects.

Myth 4: Breast cancer patients who have undergone surgery relax their vigilance, thinking that there will be no other problems after the cancer is removed, and neglect follow-up visits and daily life conditioning. They do not pay attention to maintaining a reasonable diet and living habits, which leads to metabolic disorders and reduced body resistance, giving breast cancer an opportunity to recur.

Myth 5: Over-concern about dietary taboos, leading to an unbalanced diet. Some breast cancer patients want to supplement their nutrition, but are afraid that the supplements will aggravate their condition. In fact, only products containing estrogen, such as royal jelly and animal ovaries, are not allowed to be eaten, and there are not too many taboos on other foods.
