1. Is it better to swim in the morning or in the evening?

To be precise, swimming is good at any time! But you shouldn’t swim too hard in the morning, because swimming is a relatively physically demanding exercise, and being too tired will affect your work for the whole day, so proper swimming in the morning is very good for your body. Is it better to swim in the morning or in the evening?

From 5pm to 8pm, physical strength and endurance are at their peak of the day. It is the best time to exercise, which will achieve very good results and is very beneficial to sleep. From 1am to 4am, most organs of the human body slow down or stop working. This is the time we can fully rest, muscles completely relax, blood pressure, blood supply to the brain, and pulse will slowly decrease. Between 5 and 7 in the morning, the body begins to wake up. Getting up at this time will quickly make you feel energetic, especially at 7 o'clock, when the secretion of adrenal cortex hormone reaches its peak and the immune function is strengthened, which is very suitable for exercise.

Around 10 o'clock in the evening, your body temperature begins to drop, sleepiness will slowly come over you, and your body functions tend to a low ebb, making it unsuitable for strenuous exercise. So it is better to swim in the morning.

2. Classification of swimming

Competitive swimming refers to swimming events that have specific technical requirements and are conducted according to swimming competition rules. Swimming has been included as an official Olympic event since the first Olympic Games (1896). It can be divided into two categories: competition in swimming pool and competition in open water. Such as freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly stroke (also known as dolphin stroke) and individual medley swimming composed of these four swimming styles, as well as relay swimming. Competitive swimming is a type of swimming in which the ranking is determined mainly by speed. It is conducted according to the national swimming competition rules and is called competitive swimming.

Synchronized swimming is also called "artistic swimming". It is a competitive sport that combines dance, gymnastics, swimming and other events, and has very high requirements on athletes' body shape, swimwear, headwear, music, movements and choreography. It is divided into individual, double and group competition events. It displays various graceful movements and artistic shapes through the movement of athletes' limbs on the water in coordination with music, giving the public a wonderful enjoyment, so it is known as "water ballet".

3. Precautions for swimming

Swimming must be conducted under the supervision of a parent (guardian). Going swimming alone is most likely to cause problems. If your companion is not a parent (an adult), it is difficult to guarantee that you will receive proper help when an emergency occurs.

People who are sick should not go swimming. Patients with chronic diseases such as otitis media, heart disease, skin disease, liver and kidney disease, hypertension, epilepsy, conjunctivitis, as well as those suffering from cold, fever, mental fatigue and physical weakness should not go swimming, because swimming may aggravate their condition and cause cramps and accidental coma, which may be life-threatening.
