How to clean the hair inside the bird's nest

Although bird's nests have high nutritional value, cleaning the hair inside is quite laborious. However, no matter what kind of bird's nest, there are more or less some hairs inside, and the hairs in the bird's nests are very fine. They are often mixed with eggshells, beetles, etc. If they are not cleaned properly and eaten, they will be harmful to your health. Therefore, if you want to eat delicious bird's nest, picking out the feathers is a very important process.

Soaking and cleaning method:

Step 1: Soak in clean water. This method of picking out hairs is to first soak the bird's nest in clean water for 2-4 hours, changing the water every half an hour or 1 hour.

Step 2: Rinse the bird's nest. After the bird's nest is soaked, put it in a filter with very small mesh. While rinsing it with water, tear the bird's nest into strips along the fibers. This makes it easier to wash away impurities. Rinse it repeatedly several times before scooping it out. If there are a lot of hairs in the bird's nest, you can use a larger and deeper basin to hold the bird's nest, place it under the faucet, turn on the water and flush the bird's nest vigorously. The hairs deep in the bird's nest will be blown up, and after the bird's nest sinks, pour out half of the water, and you can filter out the small hairs. Repeat this process several times to achieve better results.

Step 3: Use tweezers to pick out the feathers. Prepare a pair of tweezers and a small bowl of clean water. Use tweezers to pick up the remaining bird feathers on the surface and inside of the bird's nest, dip them in clean water, and transfer the bird feathers to the water.

Keep the shape of the hair picking method:

This method is to pick the hairs while keeping the bird's nest in the shape of a nest, without soaking it. It can be divided into dry picking and wet picking. Dry picking does not require any water, you can just pick out the bird feathers. Suitable for bird's nests that need to be stored for a long time. Bird's nests will easily become moldy due to excessive humidity. The hairiest part of the bird's nest is the fine mesh in the middle of the bird's nest that supports the eggs and baby swallows, namely the bird's net. There may also be broken eggshells in the bird's net. When cleaning this part, you can tear off the bird's net, then pick out the hair, and tap the surface of the bird's nest with your fingers to let the eggshells fall out.

The first step of wet picking: soak the bird's nest in water first, and take it out as soon as it becomes soft, so that the bird's nest remains in a complete nest shape. Do not wait until it falls apart before picking.

Step 2: Pick out the hair. Then prepare a bowl and tweezers, fill them with clean water, and start picking out the hair. Use tweezers to pick out the hair from the bird's nest and put it into a bowl of clean water.
