Location: Sanyinjiao point is located on the inner side of the calf, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, in the depression behind the inner edge of the tibia (inner bone of the calf).

Function: Sanyinjiao acupoint belongs to the spleen meridian, where the liver, spleen and kidney meridians meet. It is also known as Nvsanli. It has the function of harmonizing qi and blood, and nourishing the kidney and liver.

Acupuncture at the Sanyinjiao point can effectively treat various gynecological diseases, such as irregular menstruation, cold hands and feet, dysmenorrhea, menopausal syndrome, swelling of the soles of the feet, etc.

Operation: For those who suffer from dysmenorrhea or irregular menstruation, spend 1 minute every day stimulating this point starting from 5 to 6 days before the start of menstruation, which has a good health-care effect. For people suffering from menopausal syndrome and other diseases, regular stimulation of this point can improve their condition. But it is not suitable for pregnant women.

Four major health-preserving acupuncture points

1. Zusanli acupoint: the most important acupoint for human health

Location: The Zusanli point is located 3 inches below the depression on the anterior and lateral side of the knee, one horizontal finger (middle finger) away from the anterior edge of the tibia.

Procedure: Use your thumb to massage Zusanli for 2 to 3 minutes every day, with enough force to feel local soreness and swelling. In an emergency, such as an acute attack of stomach pain and your pants are tight, you can use the tip of a pen to stimulate this point through the clothes until the symptoms are relieved.

2. Tanzhong Point: Beating the chest and stamping the feet can prolong life

Location: The Danzhong point is located in the middle of the body, specifically at the fourth rib, midway between the two nipples.

Function: Stimulating this point can invigorate blood circulation, dredge meridians, relieve chest tightness, regulate qi, and stop coughing and asthma. In particular, it can effectively treat various types of qi diseases, including respiratory and digestive system diseases, such as asthma, chest tightness, palpitations, irritability, angina pectoris, etc. It can also treat postpartum milk deficiency, mastitis, intercostal neuralgia, gastric cardia spasm and other diseases.

Procedure: Cross your hands, make a hollow fist, and then tap this acupoint. You can also put the four fingers of one hand together, and use the fingertips to press and rub in clockwise circles or push and rub from top to bottom, at least 100 times a day, for 2 to 3 minutes. Modern medicine has proven that the human body begins to age from the thymus. Beating the chest and stamping the feet frequently can prolong life.

It can treat a wide range of diseases, including leucorrhea, dysmenorrhea, various gynecological inflammations in gynecology, and impotence, premature ejaculation, and prostate diseases in men. Pressing or moxibustioning acupoints for 15 minutes every day can help improve sexual function. It is more effective for people with cold waist, impotence, premature ejaculation and weak constitution. It can also treat sudden fainting.

Procedure: You can use the ginger moxibustion method. Poke some small holes on a thin piece of ginger slice, stick it on the Guanyuan acupoint, and then use moxa sticks to moxibustion for about 15 minutes at a time until you feel a flush at the acupoint. The effect is more significant for those with yang deficiency, fear of cold, and infertility due to cold uterus.

Function: Regularly massaging this point will lead to sufficient kidney essence, sharp hearing and eyesight, abundant energy, strong sexual function, strong waist and knees, and powerful walking. Pressing and rubbing this point can also improve the symptoms of acute angina pectoris. Yongquan acupoint is effective for sore throat, headache, insomnia, difficulty urinating, shock, heatstroke, epilepsy, infertility, irregular menstruation, fear of cold, impotence, spermatorrhea, and menopausal syndrome.

Procedure: After soaking your feet in warm water every night, first rub your palms to warm them up, then massage the left Yongquan point with your right palm and the right Yongquan point with your left palm until the soles of your feet become warm. Massaging this point before going to bed every day can achieve the effect of connecting the heart and kidney, and combining water and fire. You need to be calm and peaceful when massaging to get twice the result with half the effort.
