Inguinal lipoma

Inguinal lipoma

There is a lot of fat distributed all over a person's body, and lipoma can occur in any part of the body where fat is present. There is a lot of fat in the human groin, so the probability of developing lipoma in the groin will greatly increase. Many people often find it difficult to talk about diseases caused by the groin. So how should a person who has a lipoma in the groin be treated?

It has to be said that the groin area is a place where few diseases occur in the human body, but some people have lipomas there. So, what are the symptoms of inguinal lipomas? What can't patients eat?

What are the symptoms of inguinal lipoma?

There is a clear boundary between inguinal lipoma and surrounding tissue. It is soft in texture, grows slowly, and most of them are small in size. This tumor is composed of differentiated and mature fat cells, and the tumor tissue is divided into fat lobules of varying sizes by fibrous cords. Among them, lipomas with more fibrous components are also called fibrolipomas, and lipomas with rich blood vessels are also called angiolipomas.

They vary in size, mostly oblate or lobed, with clear boundaries; if the boundaries are unclear, beware of the possibility of malignant lipoma. The tumor is soft and elastic (note the difference from larger cysts), and some may have a false sense of fluctuation. The tumor is not adhered to the epidermis, the skin surface is completely normal, and the base is relatively wide. During the examination, if you press the base of the lipoma tightly with your hand, you can see the lobed shape. The skin may appear "orange peel". Tumors develop very slowly, most of them have no serious adverse effects on the body, and very few of them become malignant.

What can't the patient eat?

1. Do not drink excessively

Drinking too much alcohol can cause liver and gallbladder dysfunction, disrupting the secretion and excretion of bile, thereby stimulating the formation of lipomas or enlarging the original tumors, increasing the cancer risk of lipomas.

2. Eat less stimulating food

Patients with multiple lipomas should also try to eat less irritating foods such as onions, garlic, cinnamon, greasy, fried, moldy, pickled foods, as well as mutton, dog meat, leeks and other irritating foods.

To sum up, when the lipoma is located in the groin, if the clinical manifestations are unclear, the patient should be wary of the possibility of malignant transformation.
