Gastrointestinal diseases are a potential threat to health because most people have Helicobacter pylori in their bodies. This bacterial virus can induce various serious gastrointestinal diseases. Although complications will not occur immediately, they will cause great harm once the disease occurs. Scientists have developed a typing diagnosis theory for this bacterium. Let’s take a look at the significance of Helicobacter pylori antibody typing. Helicobacter pylori or Helicobacter pylori, English name, abbreviated as Hp. It is a Gram-negative, microaerophilic bacterium that lives in various areas of the stomach and duodenum. It can cause mild chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa, or even lead to gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastric cancer. Oral transmission (iatrogenic transmission): Through follow-up of those who were Hp-negative before gastroscopy, it was found that the more gastroscopy examinations were conducted, the higher the Hp-positive rate was. The infection occurs in family clusters. Under normal circumstances, the stomach wall has a series of complete self-protection mechanisms (secretion of gastric acid and protease, protective effect of insoluble and soluble mucus layer, regular movement, etc.) that can resist the invasion of thousands of microorganisms entering through the mouth. Since the discovery of Helicobacter pylori on the surface of gastric mucosal epithelial cells, it has been recognized that Helicobacter pylori is almost the only culprit that can break through this natural barrier. 1. Helicobacter pylori typing test helps clinicians choose whether eradication treatment is needed. Type I virulent strains are highly toxic and pose a greater threat to patients. They are closely related to peptic ulcers, gastric cancer, etc. and require HP eradication treatment. Type II avirulent strains are less toxic and less pathogenic, and generally manifest as mild indigestion. If the patient is infected with a non-virulent strain and has no clinical symptoms or the clinical symptoms are mild, eradication treatment is not necessary. 2. It helps clinicians choose whether eradication treatment is needed, thereby exempting a large number of infected people from unnecessary treatment, avoiding excessive use of antibiotics, and reducing the development of bacterial resistance. 3. Carrying out typing tests on people undergoing health examinations can identify people who need intervention at an earlier stage and with greater accuracy, effectively alert people with a high risk of gastric cancer, reduce unnecessary panic, help save social resources, and achieve the goal of improving the physical fitness of the nation. |
