Causes of clavicle bone hyperplasia

Causes of clavicle bone hyperplasia

Osteophyte is a very common bone disease. With increasing age, the chance of suffering from bone hyperplasia increases greatly. Bone hyperplasia can occur anywhere in the body, as long as there are bones. Clavicle bone hyperplasia is a type of bone hyperplasia. Understanding the causes of clavicle bone hyperplasia will help better treatment and prevention. Let’s take a look at the causes of clavicle bone hyperplasia.

Traditional Chinese medicine classifies this disease into the category of "bone arthritis". It is believed that this disease occurs mostly due to insufficient Qi and blood, liver and kidney deficiency, wind, cold and dampness invading the bones and tendons, or falls and sprains that damage the bones and tendons, resulting in Qi and blood stagnation, poor circulation, and pain.

Since bone hyperplasia can occur in various parts of the body, the clinical manifestations are complicated, but the treatment principles are always based on tonifying the kidney and strengthening bones, strengthening the body and eliminating evil, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, softening and reducing swelling, and unblocking the meridians.

Bone hyperplasia is a normal degenerative phenomenon of human aging. When reaching a certain age, everyone will have varying degrees of bone hyperplasia in joints that are more active and bear greater weight, such as the cervical vertebrae, knee joints, lumbar vertebrae, etc. These hyperplasias generally do not cause symptoms, so you cannot take an X-ray as soon as you feel pain in these parts, and regard bone hyperplasia as the cause of the pain and a disease. This will lead to a lot of misdiagnosis and mistreatment. If the hyperplastic bone spurs stimulate the local tissues or nerves and produce symptoms, it is called bone hyperplasia disease. A comprehensive diagnosis should be made based on the patient's symptoms and signs.

Causes of clavicle bone hyperplasia

Reason 1: Primary osteoarthritis is caused by aging and long-term fatigue, which leads to degenerative changes in bones and joints, ligament relaxation, decreased muscle strength, affected joint stability, and the formation of bone spurs around the joints, thus causing arthritis.

Reason 2: Osteophyte belongs to the category of "Bi syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine, also known as "bone Bi". Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is related to trauma, strain, blood stasis blocking the collaterals, exposure to wind, cold and dampness, internal obstruction of phlegm and dampness, and liver and kidney deficiency.

Reason three: In the early stage, the cartilage surface is fragmented, chondrocytes proliferate, the cartilage surface cracks longitudinally, and crystals are deposited. At the same time, cartilage repair and bone spur hyperplasia occur. In the late stage, the cartilage is completely destroyed, manifested as cartilage sclerosis, cartilage disappearance and focal bone necrosis under the cartilage.

Precautions

For patients with clavicle bone hyperplasia, treatment should be received as soon as possible and excessive fatigue should be avoided. Patients with bone hyperplasia often have the habit of lowering their heads to read, play games, or use computers. A small number of cases are caused by congenital cervical spondylosis. Congenital small spinal canal and cervical degeneration are the basis for the onset of cervical spondylosis.
