What does liver pain feel like

When a person's liver has a disease problem, the serious consequences are self-evident, because the liver is an important organ that promotes the body's metabolism, and liver problems can cause endocrine disorders. However, as a person ages, liver function becomes increasingly impaired. Many patients even experience extreme liver pain. So what does liver pain feel like?

Pain is also related to the different individual sensitivities of each hepatitis patient. For most hepatitis patients, after explanation and necessary treatment, the pain will completely disappear as the liver function recovers. Eating moldy food can easily cause liver cancer. Primary liver cancer favors middle-aged people, with the peak incidence between 40 and 50 years old, and is more common in men than in women. The cause and mechanism of the disease have not yet been determined, but it is believed to be related to cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, certain chemical carcinogens such as aflatoxin, and water and soil factors. Foods rich in aflatoxin include rotten ginger, peanuts, moldy grains, oils, beans, fish, fermented tofu and other foods; the recovery period of liver disease.

Although liver function has improved significantly or is basically normal, patients with liver disease may still feel dull pain in the liver area. If you experience frequent pain in the liver area, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a thorough examination to see if it is a recurrence of liver disease; once the liver becomes inflamed or is subjected to pressure, temperature or chemical stimulation, it can cause pain or a tingling or burning sensation. Due to congestion, swelling and exudation of the liver, hepatitis patients' liver capsule is extremely stretched. The stretched liver capsule stimulates the nerves and causes distending pain, dull pain, heavy pressure or needle-like pain. During physical examination, patients often complain of tenderness or percussion pain;

During the recovery period of hepatitis, liver function has significantly improved or returned to normal, and the tension of the liver capsule has been relieved. However, patients still often feel dull pain, intermittent tingling or burning sensation in the liver area, which is difficult to eliminate for a while. It can be relieved by distraction. Hepatitis patients should not be too nervous about this. However, if you have frequent pain, you must see a doctor to rule out liver pericapsular inflammation, gallbladder and biliary tract infection, lung and pleural diseases, etc. Biliary tract diseases, tuberculous or non-tuberculous inflammation, costal inflammation, cirrhosis and other symptoms can also cause dull pain in the liver area.
