Laser is a substance that can cause great harm to people's eyes. If the eyes are hit by laser, it will take a long time to recover. In this case, treatment is needed, and more attention should be paid during the treatment. Basically, laser surgery will be used as a treatment measure, but more attention should be paid to care, and try to give your eyes a good rest. Generally, the eyes will feel sore, tearful and have a foreign body sensation 1 to 2 hours after LASIK surgery. The symptoms will basically disappear after two to three hours. If the eye pain symptoms are obvious, you must be careful to distinguish whether it is pain in the eye skin or pain in the eyeball. If it is the latter, you should immediately seek treatment from an ophthalmologist to rule out the possibility of infection and corneal flap displacement. If you have eye symptoms on the day of surgery, you can close your eyes and rest. Do not take off the transparent eye patch at will, and avoid squeezing or rubbing your eyes. The next day, go to the hospital and the doctor will remove the transparent eye patch and check your vision, cornea, and refractive status. Then go for a follow-up check 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after the operation. Especially in the early postoperative period, doctors can adjust medication in a timely manner based on the review results, which is also an important part of ensuring the success of the operation. Patients should also be advised to avoid places with a lot of smoke and dust within one week after the operation, eat less spicy food, do not wear makeup around the eyes, and avoid water and small particles entering the eyes. Many people regain normal vision the next day after the operation, but their vision fluctuates in the following days. Some people's vision gradually returns to normal, and most of them are relatively stable for two weeks. The final recovery period is 3 to 6 months. After LASIK surgery, you can take antibiotics orally for three days to prevent infection; you should also use antibiotic eye drops, hormone eye drops, and eye drops that promote corneal epithelial growth, lubricate and prevent drying, generally for no more than one month. You should avoid using close-range fine vision (including watching computer and TV) within one month. Due to the change in refractive status after the operation, some people will have difficulty in near vision and become easily fatigued in the early stages. If this cannot be avoided at work or study, you should take more breaks, blink more often, and rest more. Generally, the symptoms will gradually disappear over time. Furthermore, you should be careful not to swim within one month, and avoid diving and intense confrontational sports to avoid hitting your eyes, causing eye injuries, corneal flap displacement or even loss. If you experience glare symptoms, you should wait until the symptoms disappear before driving at night. |
