What eye drops to use for dry and itchy eyes

What eye drops to use for dry and itchy eyes

For white-collar workers who often sit in the office, they face computers and mobile phones every day, which always has an impact on their eyes. Dry and itchy eyes are a problem that many people will encounter. Dry and itchy eyes will not only cause a decrease in our work efficiency, but also cause adverse factors in our daily life. Many people always rub their eyes on their own, causing eye hygiene infections. So, what kind of medicine should you use for dry and itchy eyes?

1. Drink green tea, oolong tea or Tieguanyin tea regularly

Tea is rich in carotene, which can be converted into vitamin A in the human body. People who work with computers for a long time can use vitamin A not only to reduce the harm of computer radiation, but also to relieve the symptoms of dry eyes and sore eyes.

2. Yawning and sour plums

It is possible to use yawning to moisten your eyes with tears, but it is not so convenient after all. You might as well try the method of putting sour plums in your mouth to stimulate tears.

3. Eye exercises

Doing eye exercises regularly can promote blood circulation around the eyes and reduce eye fatigue.

4. Apply eye cream

Eye cream can also moisturize the eyes, but not all of them can do so. Some inferior eye creams or those with special ingredients may also irritate the eyes. It depends on the ingredients of the eye cream. Never use it indiscriminately.

5. Rinse eyes with warm water

When washing your eyes with warm water, pay attention to the cleanliness of the water. Unclean water may cause eye diseases.

What is more important to protect your eyes is to remember to relax between using your eyes. You can massage your eyes with your hands, or get up and walk to the window to look into the distance, which can effectively relieve eye fatigue.

6. Apply hot towel to eyes for 10 minutes

Applying a hot towel to the eyes can promote blood circulation around the eyes, and is also beneficial for the recovery of meibomian gland function, relieving dry eyes caused by meibomian gland dysfunction.

7. Eye drops

The effectiveness of eye drops in moistening the eyes depends on two factors: the composition of the drops and the frequency of applying the drops. Some eye drops are not suitable for healthy eyes, and those with eye diseases need symptomatic treatment first. In addition, using eye drops too frequently is also bad for the eyes.
