Can't stand seeing others do better

Can't stand seeing others do better

Human beings are complex creatures, because human emotions are rich and changeable, and people also have a little selfishness. The most obvious manifestation of many people's thoughts is that they can't stand others being better than them. When they find that others are better than themselves, or even have something they don't have, they will feel jealous, or even maliciously slander others. This is a manifestation of not being able to stand others being better. So when this situation of not being able to stand others being better appears, what methods can be used to solve it?

Many people suffer from a disease commonly known as "can't stand seeing others do well." It is very painful to get this disease. Why do you say that?

Because the cause of this disease is very inexplicable——

Some people are in such good condition that they get sick. Some people get sick because their physical condition is too poor.

There are also people who are not sick and are very enthusiastic. Because of taking the initiative to help others. As a result, the other party did not feel grateful to me, nor did he show any intention of returning the favor. Once I feel unbalanced, I will get sick.

The symptoms of this disease are even more inexplicable -

When I see others doing well, I feel very painful.

When seeing others happy, not only can I not be infected by the joyful atmosphere, but I feel extremely painful and angry instead.

While others are in high spirits, you are in a gloomy mood, the words you say are sour, harsh, sarcastic, and you even hope that others will stumble and have bad luck every day.

Once good relatives became enemies, once good friends became enemies, once good colleagues became enemies, once good neighbors became enemies.

Isn't this just deliberately making things difficult for yourself? You are creating trouble for yourself for no reason, hurting others and destroying yourself.

In fact, when it comes down to it, this disease is caused by obsession, comparison, jealousy, and selfishness. These emotions are called karma in spiritual practice. This is very bad, it is easy to ruin your own blessings and bring bad karma.

What to do? Cultivate more joy in others’ hearts. When you see others doing well or achieving success, rejoice and praise them from the bottom of your heart.

When others donate money for charity, even if you don’t have money, you can help out a little bit with your own hands; when others do good things, you should be happy to see them succeed; when others are frustrated, don’t gloat over their misfortunes, but say some encouraging words.

When others come out to share their thoughts and talk about their experiences, you should not be jealous but be grateful when you hear them. If this process is worth learning from, how many detours can be avoided?

When you meet someone who is better than you, learn from his or her strengths and admire his or her greatness.

When you first start to "rejoice and praise" others, your words may not be sincere or may feel awkward, with a stiff tone and expression. It doesn't matter. There is a saying in Buddhism called "proper intention."

As long as you are willing to do this, you are willing to think and restrain yourself according to the methods taught by Buddha. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand at first. Just learn by imitating others and control your bad behavior.

This is better than getting angry and upset, which eventually turns into uncontrollable hatred and karma.

Everyone’s growth begins with encouragement and praise. When we rejoice and praise others, we invisibly eliminate our own negative emotions and also help others achieve success.

Learning to help others is helping yourself. Learning to rejoice in others’ happiness is actually your own merit.

Rejoicing and praising is a kind intention to help others achieve their goals. It seems that you are helping others, but in fact you are helping yourself. Help us conquer the troubles caused by jealousy and purify our minds. We should learn to transform arrogance and jealousy into joy and praise. We should not be kidnapped by the external environment and learn to "let the environment change with the mind, rather than the mind changing with the environment."
