Why do I eat more but poop less

Why do I eat more but poop less

In our lives, many people have a huge appetite. They like to eat certain things very much, but sometimes they don’t go to the toilet even if they eat too much. This can easily make people gain weight day by day. Many people don’t like to be fat, because fat people are not only prone to some diseases, but also more likely to sweat when exercising. So why do they eat more and poop less?

It may be caused by constipation. Constipation means that it is very difficult to defecate and the defecation time is prolonged. In severe cases, it may even make it impossible to defecate. It may also be caused by intestinal dysfunction due to chronic enteritis.

You should increase the intake of vegetables and fruits rich in fiber, and consume appropriate amounts of rough and residue-rich grains such as standard flour, potatoes, corn, barley, etc. Oily foods, cold boiled water and honey can help prevent and treat constipation. Drink more water and beverages.

What to do if you have constipation:

1. Regularize your life

In normal times, you must avoid stress and stay up late, develop the habit of going to bed early and getting up early, and go to bed on time. You must also improve your anxiety, such as using hobbies to relieve stress after work, and try to maintain a good mood. All of these will help balance the autonomic nervous system and keep the gastrointestinal tract unobstructed, which can effectively relieve the anxiety.

2. Proper massage

When you feel tired during massage, make fists and gently tap your lower back to relieve back pain and stimulate gastrointestinal motility. When taking a shower, you can also massage your abdomen with your hands while showering; if you use a shower head to rinse your anus with warm water for about two minutes, it can also relax the anal sphincter and make defecation easier. Massaging your abdomen before going to bed can help you have a bowel movement the next morning.

3. Develop good bowel habits

Going to the toilet at a regular time every day can help you develop a stable biological clock and prevent stool from accumulating and hardening. If you really can't defecate, try to practice inducing the urge to defecate, and it will naturally become a habit over time. In terms of time, it is usually easier to defecate in the morning. Just drinking a glass of water after getting up can stimulate gastrointestinal motility.
