Do I need to use toothpaste with an electric toothbrush?

The electronics industry is now relatively developed, and electric toothbrushes are already a very mature product. The usage rate of electric toothbrushes is also increasing. Even if you use an electric toothbrush, you still need to use toothpaste, because only toothpaste can whiten and clean teeth. If an electric toothbrush is not used with toothpaste, its effect in cleaning teeth will be greatly reduced, but the electric toothbrush saves the action of shaking it by hand.

Precautions for using electric toothbrushes

1. When applying toothpaste, you should control the amount used. Generally, the length of toothpaste should cover the brush head.

2. Do not turn on the toothbrush when applying toothpaste. The correct way is to apply the toothpaste first, then put the toothpaste on the teeth and spread it evenly before turning on the electric toothbrush to clean. If you turn on the toothbrush after applying toothpaste, the toothpaste will be thrown off due to high-speed rotation.

3. After brushing your teeth, you should also pay attention to turn off the power before taking the electric toothbrush out of your mouth to avoid splashing foam when taking it out.

4. The brush head of an electric toothbrush needs to be replaced every three months, just like an ordinary toothbrush. After using the toothbrush for a long time, the bristles on it will wear and tear, and the cleaning effect will be greatly reduced.

5. Electric toothbrushes are not suitable for people with dental diseases, such as periodontitis or poor teeth. These people are advised to use ordinary toothbrushes.

6. It is best not to use electric toothbrushes for children, especially those between 1 and 5 years old. If the child is over 5 years old, you can consider using an electric toothbrush specially designed for children. These toothbrushes have lower power, slower rotation speed, and softer bristles, which are not easy to damage children's fragile gums.

7. After using the electric toothbrush, be sure to wipe it dry with a paper towel. Do not put it in a cup. It is best to place it upright in a ventilated and dry place.

The correct way to use an electric toothbrush

1. Correctly install the brush head: When installing the brush head, make sure that the brush head is firmly fixed in the toothbrush shaft to avoid the brush head handle from loosening.

2. Before using an electric toothbrush, be sure to soak the brush head in warm water to adjust the softness of the bristles. If you use cold water directly to brush, the bristles will be too hard and the vibration frequency will not adapt, resulting in bleeding gums. If you have sensitive teeth, it's best to use a brush with soft bristles.
