Will the chin be deformed if it is hit

Our chin protrudes outward, and it is easy to injure the entire part due to carelessness. The jaw is made up of a large bone, and the most worrying thing after an injury is deformation. Will my chin become deformed if I hit it? Unless the trauma is particularly serious, general bumps will not cause chin deformation. When the chin is injured, effective measures should be taken in a timely manner to deal with it.

The human chin is actually made up of a bone, the mandible. This bone is very hard and it will not be deformed by a slight impact. If it is deformed, it must be fractured. If it is a fracture, you will not be able to close your mouth and you will feel severe pain.

What to do if you break your jaw?

Let's analyze the specific circumstances of a broken chin. If it is just a common injury from a fall or a minor bump, you don't need to be too nervous. The pain will subside after a while.

Bruising occurs. Apply cold water to the bruised area to allow the blood that has seeped out of the ruptured capillaries to coagulate as quickly as possible. After 24 hours, apply hot water to help the bruises disappear, and you can use some spray medicine for treating falls.

There is bleeding when the skin is broken. Take measures such as using cotton swabs, Band-Aids, etc. to stop the bleeding in time. After stopping the bleeding, the wound should not be wrapped too tightly and should be kept clean and fresh. After the wound forms a scar, it will often itch. At this time, you must not use your hands to peel off the scar, but let nature take its course and let the scar fall off naturally.

A break requires stitches. If the wound is found to be larger than 1 cm, or is split and cannot be closed, go to the hospital immediately for treatment and get stitches when appropriate.

Pay attention to maintenance during the stitching period, and do not eat foods that easily cause pigmentation, such as fruits such as lemons, citrus, and mangoes, and common vegetables such as white radish, celery, lettuce, potatoes, eggplants, seaweed, leeks, etc.

After removing the stitches, be sure to keep the area where the stitches were removed dry and clean. If the scars formed after stitches removal affect your appearance, you can go to a regular plastic surgery hospital for treatment. Plastic surgery hospitals have ways to remove scars.
