Diabetes is a disease caused by abnormal hormone secretion, mainly organ dysfunction caused by insufficient insulin secretion in the body. It has a great impact on life, and most diabetes is a chronic condition. It cannot be cured with current medical technology. It can only be controlled to prevent the disease from worsening. Let’s take a look at the early symptoms of diabetic renal failure. Diabetic renal failure is the most common chronic complication of diabetes. The early symptoms of diabetic renal failure are not obvious. If not diagnosed and treated in time, the condition of diabetic renal failure may gradually progress, followed by serious metabolic disorders and even diabetic renal failure. Patients with diabetic renal failure may lose their ability to work or die. Diabetic renal failure is clinically divided into five stages, namely, glomerular hyperfiltration stage, resting stage, microalbuminuria stage, clinical stage and renal failure stage. 1. Skin problems The skin becomes locally dry and peeling, and it itches unbearably; yellow or orange-yellow maculopapules or nodules appear in groups, surrounded by red halos; red spots look like blisters; and abnormal and heavy sweating always occurs. 2. Proteinuria At the beginning, it is intermittent proteinuria. Sometimes small bubbles appear after urination, and sometimes not, so many people will ignore it. If persistent proteinuria occurs, the diabetic's kidney function has begun to decline and he or she needs to have his or her kidney function checked as soon as possible. 3. Less urine output One of the functions of the kidneys is excretion. If the kidneys are damaged, the amount of urine will decrease. Of course, urine volume is affected by many factors, and kidney function cannot be judged solely by urine volume. 4. Edema In the early stage, only the eyelids and ankles are swollen, which disappears after rest. If it is persistent or systemic, be alert that your kidneys have failed. 5. Hypertension This symptom appears relatively late. Kidney lesions lead to sodium and water retention, which increases blood pressure and further worsens kidney function. Controlling blood pressure is particularly important in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. 6. Anemia Diabetic kidney patients who develop azotemia are likely to have mild to moderate anemia. Note that it is not iron deficiency anemia and iron treatment is ineffective. |
