How to avoid oral sex infection?

There are many things that couples need to pay attention to when having sex. For example, if they do not plan to have children, they must take contraceptive measures. They must also pay attention to sexual hygiene and clean before having sex. Especially if one party has inflammation, it is best not to have sex. In addition, oral sex is a phenomenon that many people will have during their sexual life, so how to avoid transmitting inflammation during oral sex?

How to avoid oral sex infection?

Oral sex can be divided into two situations: performing oral sex, and performing oral sex on someone else. There are risks associated with both situations.

It is theoretically possible to contract HIV through receiving oral sex. Although saliva has not been shown to transmit HIV infection, if the person performing oral sex has HIV, blood from the person's mouth can transmit the virus through the vagina, penis (urethra), anus, or directly into the body through a small cut or open sore near the genitals. The extent of the risk is unknown, but most health officials agree that it is lower than unprotected anal or vaginal sex.

There have also been some documented cases of HIV transmission through oral sex with an HIV-infected partner. The virus can be found in a variety of body fluids, including blood, semen, pre-semen, and vaginal secretions. The cells lining the oral mucosa have the ability to transport viruses to the body's lymphatic system or blood, greatly increasing the risk of infection. The risk of performing oral sex on someone increases if there are wounds or ulcers in and around the mouth or throat. The risk increases if your partner ejaculates into your mouth, or if you put vaginal fluids into your mouth, or if you or your partner has a sexually transmitted disease.

How to prevent AIDS

If you choose to perform or receive oral sex the best thing to do is to use a latex condom or a latex barrier, such as a dental dam, to protect yourself. The latex condoms have been cut to act as an effective barrier instead of a dental dam. Although not completely risk-free, latex condoms can significantly reduce the transmission of HIV when used correctly. If your partner is allergic to latex, try using a plastic or polyurethane condom. Plastic food wrap (not microwaveable plastic wrap) can be used as an effective barrier when placed over female genitals, as well. Using one of these types of barriers can help reduce the risk of the blood entering any of the above areas that are susceptible to HIV infection.
