How to calculate sugar content

How to calculate sugar content

Most of the food that humans eat in life contains a certain amount of sugar. Sugar plays a very important role in the human body. It will be converted into glucose in the human body and play a role in accelerating the body's metabolism. However, if the sugar content in the human body is too high, it is also not good and can easily cause diabetes. So some people are afraid that their blood sugar will be too high and cause diabetes. Today I will introduce to you how to calculate the sugar content.

1. How to calculate the sugar content

Sugar content = sugar weight ÷ total weight × 100%

2. What is considered high blood sugar?

1. With typical symptoms, fasting blood glucose ≥7.0 mmol/L or postprandial blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/L.

2. If there are no typical symptoms, but only fasting blood sugar ≥7.0 mmol/L or postprandial blood sugar ≥11.1 mmol/L, the test should be repeated once. If it still reaches the above values, it can be diagnosed as diabetes.

3. Patients without typical symptoms, but with fasting blood sugar ≥7.0 mmol/L or postprandial blood sugar ≥11.1 mmol/L, and 2-hour blood sugar ≥11.1 mmol/L in a glucose tolerance test can be diagnosed with diabetes.

3. Causes of high blood sugar

1. Climate factors: the reason for high blood sugar. Cold stimulation can promote the secretion of adrenaline. The output of liver glycogen increases and the uptake of glucose by muscles decreases, which causes blood sugar to rise and the condition worsens. In the hot summer, you sweat a lot, so you should pay attention to replenishing water, otherwise your blood will become concentrated and your blood sugar will rise.

2. Eating too much high-fat food is also one of the reasons for high blood sugar: the reason for high blood sugar. This causes the pancreas to not secrete insulin properly, leading to increased blood sugar.

3. Cold: caused by high blood sugar. A cold can cause blood sugar to rise.

4. Long-term constipation: caused by high blood sugar. It leads to metabolic disorders, poor blood circulation and affects blood sugar.

5. Patients with high blood sugar due to trauma, surgery, infection, fever, severe mental trauma, vomiting, insomnia, anger, anxiety, irritability, fatigue, acute myocardial infarction and other stressful situations. It can cause blood sugar to rise rapidly and even induce diabetic ketoacidosis.

6. Sudden changes in working and living environment: the cause of high blood sugar. Causes temporary adverse reactions in patients
