Why does my right brain hurt?

Why does my right brain hurt?

The human brain is generally divided into the left brain and the right brain. Some headaches are not the entire headache, but pain in the right brain or the left brain. In fact, this is what we often call migraine. Generally, there are many reasons for migraine. Climate changes, mental stress, excessive fatigue, etc. can cause migraine. Migraine must be treated as soon as possible, otherwise if it is allowed to develop, it will seriously affect your life.

What to do when you have a migraine

symptom

Common migraine has no obvious precursor symptoms before the onset of the disease. Some patients also experience mental disorders, fatigue, yawning, loss of appetite, general discomfort, etc. before the onset of the disease. Pain can also be induced in women during menstruation, drinking, and hunger. The symptoms of common migraine tend to slowly worsen. The pain may be on one side or both sides, or on the entire head. The degree of pain is also milder than that of typical migraine.

The symptoms of cluster migraines are characterized by each attack lasting approximately the same length of time. The headache often starts suddenly and lasts for 30 to 120 minutes and may occur multiple times a day. Clinical manifestations may include orbital swelling, tearing, conjunctival congestion, nasal congestion, sweating, and a burning sensation on the painful side of the face. In typical cases, thickening and tortuosity of the scalp blood vessels may be seen.

Generally, women are more prone to migraine symptoms before and after menstruation. Due to a series of symptoms brought about by physical discomfort, they may experience dizziness, blurred vision, vertigo, emotional instability, swollen eyes, etc. They are also afraid of light and have frequent headaches, mainly in the temples, around the eye sockets and the front of the head. The pain usually reaches a peak within 1-2 hours and often lasts for more than ten hours. In severe cases, it may last for more than ten days.

Prodromal stage

60% of migraine sufferers experience prodromal symptoms hours to days before the headache begins. The early symptoms of migraine may manifest as mental and psychological changes, such as depression, fatigue, laziness, drowsiness, and emotional agitation. Irritability, anxiety, upset or euphoria, etc. It may also manifest as autonomic nervous system symptoms, such as pale complexion, chills, anorexia or obvious hunger, thirst, oliguria, frequent urination, difficulty urinating, yawning, stiff neck, nausea, increased intestinal motility, abdominal pain, diarrhea, palpitations, shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, and excessive sensitivity to smells. The prodromal symptoms vary greatly among different patients, but the prodromal symptoms of each patient are relatively stable during each attack.

Premonition

About 20% of migraine sufferers experience aura symptoms. Auras are mostly focal neurological symptoms, occasionally global neurological dysfunction, and are also early symptoms of migraine. A typical aura should meet 3 of the following 4 characteristics, namely: recurring, gradually developing, lasting no more than 1 hour, and followed by headache. In most cases, the aura lasts for 5 to 20 minutes. In rare cases, aura may occur suddenly, and some patients may experience aura symptoms during a headache.

Headache period

Headaches may occur anywhere around the head or neck, including the temporal, frontal, or orbital regions. The pain is mostly unilateral, but can also be bilateral, or even develop into a total headache, of which unilateral pain accounts for about 2/3. The headache is often throbbing in nature, but some patients describe it as a piercing pain. The pain level is often moderate to severe, or even unbearable. It often occurs in the morning, develops gradually, and gradually eases after reaching a peak.

End-stage headache

This phase is when the headache starts to ease and eventually stops.
