The harm of taking a bath on an empty stomach

Although normal people will feel relaxed after taking a bath, they will also feel dehydration, dizziness and headache. Therefore, you must be well prepared before taking a bath and eat some food in advance to keep your body in good condition. If you are on an empty stomach, it is easy to make people faint. When taking a bath, the body runs at a very high speed, the blood sugar level will drop, and the blood flow will increase, so you must eat before taking a bath.

When a person is on an empty stomach, it means that there is no digestible food in the stomach. If you take a shower at this time, the blood circulation around your body will accelerate and your gastrointestinal motility will increase due to the stimulation of high temperature. Then, because there is no digested food in the stomach, the secreted gastric acid will directly stimulate the gastric mucosa, thereby damaging the stomach and easily causing stomach problems.

Taking a bath on an empty stomach, especially when hungry, can cause low blood sugar levels. Taking a hot shower at this time will cause your blood sugar to drop, leading to insufficient blood supply to the brain, which can easily cause nausea, dizziness, and even coma.

When people take a bath, the high water temperature will cause blood vessels to dilate, resulting in a decrease in the amount of blood returning to the heart and lower blood pressure. Coupled with fasting hypoglycemia, it is easy to collapse due to insufficient blood supply. Especially for people with low blood pressure, they must be careful not to take a bath on an empty stomach.

If you can’t take a shower on an empty stomach, can you take a shower immediately after eating? People should not take a bath immediately after eating. Because right after a person finishes a meal, the blood is concentrated in the digestive organs to help digest and absorb food. If you take a bath at this time, the high temperature will quickly spread the blood throughout the body, thereby reducing the blood flow to the digestive organs, affecting the digestion and absorption of food, and causing indigestion.

Taking a shower immediately after a meal will also dilate the blood vessels in the skin, increasing blood flow, thereby reducing blood flow to the digestive organs, thus causing myocardial ischemia and easily inducing heart disease.

Therefore, it is not suitable to take a bath on an empty stomach or after a meal. The best time to take a bath is one to two hours after a meal.
