What is the difference between blackheads and acne

Everyone wants their skin to be clean, without any blackheads or acne. Blackheads and blackheads are both common skin problems. The former generally grows on the nose and its surroundings and is usually a black spot, while acne can develop anywhere on the skin of the face and is not necessarily black. It is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. So how do you differentiate between acne and blackheads? What are the differences between the two?

Acne is commonly known as "pimples", also known as "blackheads", "wine pimples", "dark pimples", etc. It usually occurs on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. It is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of the pilosebaceous gland unit, with whiteheads, blackheads, inflammatory papules, pustules, nodules, cysts, etc. as the main clinical manifestations. This disease is more common during adolescence, but it is not completely limited by age. People of almost all ages, from children to adults, can get the disease.

1 Blackheads are also called blackheads, which are open comedones (the surface layer of sebum that clogs the pores is directly exposed to the outside and comes into contact with the air and dust in the air). Blackheads are common in adolescents during puberty, and are prone to occur on the face, chest and back. They are characterized by black spots in significantly enlarged pores, which look like small worms when squeezed out, with black tips.

2 Blackheads, also known as open comedones, are the later development form of whiteheads, which are closed comedones without heads. However, many whiteheads are very "conservative" and will never "open" throughout their lives.

3 Whiteheads: The opening of the sebaceous gland of the hair follicle is blocked by keratinocytes, and keratinized substances and sebum are filled inside, which is not connected to the outside world, forming closed comedones, which look like slightly protruding whiteheads.

4 Blackheads: The sebaceous glands of the hair follicles are blocked by keratin and sebum, and the openings are connected to the outside world, forming open comedones, which appear as black spots of varying sizes on the surface.

5 Whiteheads look like yellow-white spots or small bumps; the other type is blackheads, which have a black spot at the opening. Whiteheads and blackheads are the two most basic and earliest rashes of acne.

Starting from acne, it can form or transform into papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts, all of which are accompanied by sebum secretion. The above rashes have three types of results: acne, non-infected papules, small nodules and superficial small pustules, which may disappear without leaving any traces, or only have punctate pigmentation and temporary small scars; picking acne and squeezing pustules randomly, after the original larger pustules (including cysts) disappear, often leave behind dense needle-sized depressions or hard sores the size of mung beans that do not disappear; cysts, especially those that have ruptured, leave behind large, deep and irregular cord-like scars with a very hard texture, which can be disfiguring in severe cases.
