What to do if the lymphatic gums are swollen

What to do if the lymphatic gums are swollen

Lymph nodes are the body's immune organs. When the gums become inflamed, they may swell and cause pain. The swollen lymph nodes caused by the above gingivitis are generally benign, so patients do not need to worry too much. As long as the gingivitis is cured, the swollen lymph nodes will gradually improve and eventually return to normal. Patients need to pay attention to oral hygiene, avoid eating hard foods, and try to eat less sour foods.

1. What to do if the lymphatic gums are swollen

Gum inflammation can sometimes cause swollen lymph nodes. Lymph is the human body's immune organ. When the gums are in an inflamed state for a long time, the pathogenic bacteria contained in the inflammation may be carried by white blood cells to the submandibular and submental lymph nodes for filtration, and accumulate there, causing enlargement of the submandibular and submental lymph nodes, accompanied by pain symptoms. However, the lymph node enlargement caused by this type of gingivitis is a benign enlargement. Only when the gingivitis is effectively cured, the symptoms of lymph node enlargement will gradually subside over a period of time and the lymphatic tissue will gradually return to normal. Therefore, gingivitis must be treated in time to avoid lymphadenitis. Teeth cleaning is often used to remove substances that irritate the gums, such as tartar, plaque, tartar, residues and other irritants, so that the inflammation can slowly subside.

2. Causes of swollen and painful gums

1. The main cause of swollen and painful gums is gingivitis or periodontitis. The most common disease is caused by periodontitis. Periodontitis is mainly due to the spread of inflammation on the gums to under the gums, forming periodontal pockets under the gums. A large amount of dental plaque adheres to the tooth surface and teeth gaps, dental tartar and dead corners in the mouth that cannot be cleaned, causing mobile bacteria to invade the gums. Once periodontal pockets are formed under the gums, the capillaries of the gums begin to expand, the blood vessel pressure increases, the gums are in a state of congestion for a long time, and the periodontal pockets are susceptible to external impact.

2. The weather is very dry, the human body's saliva secretion decreases, the respiratory tract becomes dry, and the fragility of blood vessels increases, making it easy to be infected by bacteria. If you take supplements or spicy food, it will accelerate the circulation of blood, which Chinese medicine calls "blood heat running wildly", and will carry germs throughout the body, causing symptoms such as swollen and painful gums, nosebleeds, dry coughs, and sore throats.
