What vitamins are missing when lips peel

Lips are an important part of the human facial skin. Especially for women, sexy lips can add a lot of points. On the contrary, if the lips are dull and have peeling problems, it will greatly affect the appearance. In fact, peeling lips is also a sign of a lack of certain nutrients in the body. So what vitamins are missing that cause chapped lips? If your lips start to peel, what should you pay attention to in your diet?

Frequent dry and peeling lips are usually caused by inflammation, such as chronic cheilitis, one of the typical symptoms of which is constant peeling. Cold and dry climate, sunlight exposure, stimulation from tobacco and alcohol, and the use of cosmetics are all causes of chronic cheilitis.

Peeling is the first and mildest manifestation of lip inflammation, and the lips may also become red, swollen, cracked, eroded, itchy and painful. The phenomenon of peeling skin and other symptoms can be cured by applying medicine and removing adverse stimuli. If left untreated, it can develop into lip erosions.

The following can improve and prevent lip diseases

(1) The diet should be light, nutritionally comprehensive, and not picky.

(2) Eat more vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins.

(3) Quit smoking, drinking, and spicy and other irritating foods.

(4) Use lip balm or a mask for protection in cold and dry seasons.

(5) Get rid of the bad habit of licking or biting your lips.

(6) People with allergies should take good sun protection and keep warm.

(7) Actively treat other oral diseases.
