What is the reason for yellow sweat?

The occurrence of sweat is a normal physiological phenomenon of human beings, so there is no need to worry too much. Everyone's sweating situation is different, and it is closely related to everyone's physical constitution. Some people sweat yellow sweat. When a person sweats yellow sweat, it should be taken seriously, as it is also an abnormal manifestation of sweat glands. There are many reasons for yellow sweat, and you should pay attention to taking the right medicine. What is the reason for that person's yellow sweat?

1. Drug reaction:

Rifampicin is the most common drug. Other drugs such as riboflavin, furazolidone, primaquine, etc. may cause yellow sweat and yellow urine when taken in regular doses. Symptoms are more pronounced in case of overdose or poisoning.

2. Hepatobiliary diseases:

Acute and chronic hepatitis, acute and chronic cholecystitis, hepatobiliary stones, cirrhosis, liver cancer, pancreatic head cancer, etc., cause liver dysfunction or bile stasis and blockage, increased bilirubin concentration in the blood, and yellow sweat may appear when it is excreted from the body with sweat. Most of these diseases have symptoms such as upper abdominal distension and pain, fatigue, aversion to greasy food, yellow sclera, itchy skin, and yellow urine. They can be differentially diagnosed through B-ultrasound, liver function tests, etc.

3. Others

Patients with certain hemolytic diseases, infectious diseases, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, mistaken transfusion of abnormal blood type, and favism suffer from yellow sweat due to massive destruction of red blood cells and retention of indirect bilirubin in the blood. Patients with malaria, typhoid fever, leptospirosis, and sepsis develop yellow sweat due to accelerated red blood cell production and damaged liver function. These diseases are more serious and should be detected and treated early. Dietary factors such as eating carrots, oranges, tangerines and other foods, as well as excessive consumption of pigmented foods or drinks, can also cause yellow sweat. Generally, there are no other discomfort symptoms, so there is no need to panic. In addition, young people have active sweat glands. If they work in a high temperature environment, sweat too much, and fail to change clothes in time, the fatty acids and other organic matter in the sweat will react chemically and physically with the air and soap, causing the clothes in the armpits, chest, waist and abdomen, and perineum to turn yellow. This phenomenon has no impact on human health, so there is no need to worry too much.
