The efficacy of Litsea cubeba oil

Litsea cubeba is a Chinese herbal medicine, but it does smell very fragrant. It can be used as an ingredient in some dishes, and can also be made into oil. I believe everyone has eaten oil. We usually need to use it when cooking. There is still some difference between litsea cubeba oil and ordinary oil, and litsea cubeba oil has certain effects and functions. So what are the effects of litsea cubeba oil?

Litsea cubeba oil, also known as Litsea cubeba oil in foreign languages. Litsea cubeba oil refers to a natural essential oil extracted from fresh Litsea cubeba fruit. It is slightly yellow in color and contains a large amount of citral, so it has a very strong and pleasant lemon smell, which is approximately between the floral and fruity aromas. The main chemical components are: citral, limonene, methyl heptenone, coriander alcohol, geraniol, vanillin, camphene, etc.

Litsea cubeba oil is an important raw material essential oil in the flavor and fragrance industry. The yield is about 3%-6% obtained by steam distillation or subcritical biotechnology processing of the fruit of the Litsea cubeba (Lour.) Pers. tree of the Lauraceae family.

Uses: Litsea cubeba oil for spices 1. Usually used to extract citral for the synthesis of ionone spices and vitamins, etc.

2. It can also be directly used in daily chemical flavors and edible flavors, and can be used as a freshener to enhance the fresh aroma of the top notes of the flavors.

Litsea cubeba oil for seasoning: There are serious obstacles in the formulation of standards for Litsea cubeba oil as a seasoning, which conflicts with the national QS specifications for seasoning oils. The moisture and volatile matter indexes of Litsea cubeba oil are much higher than the mandatory indexes specified in the QS for seasoning oils (the same is true for Sichuan pepper oil). The moisture and volatile matter in seasoning oil QS regulations are ≤0.2%. The Litsea cubeba oil used as a seasoning mainly utilizes the volatile components of Litsea cubeba oil, namely the seasoning components, which are also the components favored by consumers. Therefore, the more Litsea cubeba essential oil the Litsea cubeba oil contains, the higher its volatiles. We hope that relevant national departments will pay attention to this, strengthen investigation and research, formulate a reasonable standard, and promote the development of my country's special spice and seasoning oil industry.
