As the living standards in real society continue to improve, many people often neglect their physical health due to being busy. The body structure is relatively complex, and not paying attention to health will easily lead to some physical diseases. Glutamyl transpeptidase belongs to human tissue. When glutamyl transpeptidase is too high, it is a manifestation of physical disease. It is generally caused by liver disease that causes endosomal glutamyl transpeptidase to be too high. What causes elevated glutaminase levels? 1. Glutamyl transpeptidase, significantly increased The main cause of glutamyl transpeptidase is hepatobiliary disease. Since the γ-glutamyl transpeptidase in serum mainly comes from the liver, it has a strong specificity for diagnosing liver disease. Generally, a value above 200 indicates hepatobiliary disease. Elevated levels of r-glutamine transpeptidase are seen in the following situations: 1. Acute and chronic viral hepatitis; 2. In case of alcoholic or drug-induced hepatitis, the level is moderately or significantly elevated; 3. Biliary obstructive disease: When the intrahepatic or extrahepatic bile duct is obstructed, the excretion of glutamyl transpeptidase is blocked and refluxes into the blood with bile, resulting in elevated glutamyl transpeptidase levels. 4. It may increase significantly in liver cancer, and liver cancer should be ruled out when it exceeds 350. 5. Fatty liver may also cause elevated glutamyl transpeptidase levels, but in general, in nutritional fatty liver, serum glutamyl transpeptidase levels are usually no more than twice the normal value. Recommendation: Check five items of hepatitis B, hepatitis B virus DNA, liver and gallbladder B-ultrasound, alpha-fetoprotein, etc. to clarify the cause so as to provide targeted treatment. 2. Triglycerides 12.73 - significantly increased, indicating hypertriglyceridemia. 1. Drug treatment For elevated triglycerides, fibrates are the main choice: such as gemfibrozil 600 mg twice a day. You can also use Chinese herbal preparations such as Xuezhikang or Zhibituo tablets as auxiliary drug treatment. 2. Non-drug treatment: What to do if glutamyl transpeptidase is high? 40-80: mild; 80-150: moderate; 160-200: high; above 200: severe. If alanine aminotransferase and glutamyl transpeptidase are not too high, but only slightly or moderately elevated (not exceeding 5 times the upper limit of the reference value), and triglycerides are high, the possibility of fatty liver should be ruled out first. An abdominal B-ultrasound will reveal this at a glance. Low levels of zinc and cystatin C are not a big problem. They are related to dietary structure or excessive dieting, so there is no need to worry too much. If these two enzymes are much higher, in addition to B-ultrasound, you should also check for hepatitis B two-to-a-half and hepatitis C antibodies to rule out the possibility of viral hepatitis. As long as it is not viral hepatitis, the problem is not serious. Adjust your diet structure, try to quit smoking and drinking, and you can also take medication under the guidance of a doctor for a period of time, and everything will be fine. |
