Blueberries have high nutritional value and taste particularly good, and they taste sour and sweet. They are specially cultivated and grown. Generally, they are not available in our country and are imported from abroad. Therefore, the price of blueberries is relatively more expensive than domestic fruits. Whether big or small blueberries are better depends on the variety. They are distinguished according to the variety. The difference between large blueberries and small blueberries Variety classification Bush The tree is short, 30~50cm tall. It is cold-resistant and can be cultivated in areas with low temperatures of -40℃. It requires simple cultivation and management techniques and is very suitable for large-scale commercial cultivation in the high-altitude mountainous areas of Northeast China. Yield per mu is about 500kg 1. Blomidon It is a medium-maturing variety (maturing in mid-July in the Changbai Mountain area) bred by hybridizing Augusta and 451, varieties selected from wild lowbush blueberries by the Kentville Research Center of the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture. The fruit is round, light blue, contains a lot of powder, is fragrant and has a good flavor. The tree is strong and productive. In the Changbai Mountain area, the average yield of a five-year-old tree is 0.83kg, and the highest is 1.59kg. It has strong cold resistance and can safely overwinter in the open field in the Changbai Mountain area. It is the first choice variety for developing blueberries in high-altitude mountainous areas. This variety has been confirmed as the designated variety for supplying processed frozen fruit to the Japanese market. 2. Fundy Canadian variety, medium ripe. The fruit is slightly larger than that of Mayden, light blue and covered with fruit powder. Good yield, premature birth. Half high bush Obtained by hybridizing highbush[1] and lowbush blueberries. The fruit is large and of good quality. The tree is relatively short and has strong cold resistance, generally able to withstand temperatures as low as -35°C, making it suitable for cultivation in cold northern regions. The tree height is 50~100cm. 1. Northland This variety was published in Michigan in 1967. It was bred by hybridizing Berkeley×(Lowbush×Pioneer seedlings) and is an early to medium-maturing variety. The tree is strong and upright, with a height of about 1.2m, making it a taller variety among semi-highbush blueberries. The fruit is medium-sized, with a lot of powder, firm and juicy flesh and good fruit flavor. Sweetness BX12.0%, medium acidity. The fruit stem is medium-sized and dry. It is not picky about soil, is extremely productive and is cold-resistant. 2. Northblue This variety was published by the University of Minnesota in 1983. It was bred by hybridizing Mn-36×(B-10×US-3) and is a late-maturing variety. The tree is strong and about 60cm tall; its dark green and shiny leaves are one of its main characteristics. The fruit is large, with dark blue skin, good flavor and good storage performance. Cold-resistant (-30℃), high yield. The harvest amount is 1.3~3.0kg/plant, and the harvest amount will increase in warmer areas. Poor drainage makes the plant susceptible to root rot. Apart from removing dead branches in time, there is no need for special pruning. 3. Northcountry This variety was published by the University of Minnesota in 1986. It was bred by hybridization of B-6×R2P4. It is an early to medium-maturing variety, maturing about a week earlier than Beilan or Beikong. The tree is of medium vigor, with a height of 45~60cm and a crown width of about 100cm. The tree vigor will vary depending on the soil conditions. It is very cold-resistant and can withstand temperatures as low as -37°C. The fruit is medium in size, has good flavor and is durable in storage. The skin is bright blue, the fruit is soft and sweet with good flavor. The fruit yield is high, with a harvest of 1.0-2.5kg/plant. The leaves are small and dark green, turning red in autumn. The tree has a graceful posture and is suitable for viewing. It is cold-resistant and can overwinter in the open in high-altitude mountainous areas. Gao Cong It includes two major categories: southern highbush blueberry and northern highbush blueberry. Southern highbush blueberry prefers humid and warm climate conditions and is suitable for development in areas south of the Yellow River in China, such as central China and southern China. Northern highbush blueberry prefers a cool climate and has strong cold resistance. Some varieties can withstand temperatures as low as -30°C and are suitable for development in China's northern coastal humid areas and cold regions. The fruits of this variety are larger, of better quality, and taste great when eaten fresh. It can be cultivated for sale in the fresh fruit market, or processed or cultivated for home use. |
