Does the fetal heart rate appear at the latest in three months?

The early pregnancy refers to the period from conception to about the third month of pregnancy. There are many things to pay attention to during this period, because the fetus is not particularly stable during this period, and some adverse conditions may cause great harm to the fetus. Generally, the fetal heart rate will appear at 7 weeks of pregnancy, and at the latest it will appear at about two months. If there is still no fetal heart rate after two months, this may be fetal arrest.

Does the fetal heartbeat appear at the latest in three months?

If the menstruation is regular, generally speaking, the embryonic bud and fetal heartbeat will appear after 50 days of pregnancy. If the conception time is delayed, the time of the embryonic bud and fetal heartbeat will also be delayed, and generally will not exceed 60 days at the latest. If there is no fetal heartbeat or fetal bud after 60 days of pregnancy, it may be fetal growth retardation.

The fetal heartbeat cannot be seen through B-ultrasound, but it can be heard. The embryonic sac can only be seen under B-ultrasound at 6 weeks of pregnancy, the embryo can be seen under B-ultrasound at 7 weeks of pregnancy, and the fetal heartbeat can be seen under B-ultrasound at 8 weeks of pregnancy. Ultrasound can show the enlarged uterus and the echo-free image of the gestational sac in the uterine cavity at 5 weeks of pregnancy. The fetal heart beat and fetal movement can be seen at 7 or 8 weeks of pregnancy.

Generally, the fetal heartbeat will begin three or four weeks after pregnancy. At first, the fetal heartbeat is weak. After eight weeks of pregnancy, the fetal heartbeat can reach about 180 beats per minute. After 14 weeks of pregnancy, it will be about 140 beats per minute, and then remain at 120-160 beats per minute.

At 7 weeks of pregnancy, B-ultrasound can clearly see the embryo and fetal heartbeat. If the menstruation is irregular or the ovulation period is delayed, the fertilized egg will implant late, so the fetal age will not match the gestational age, and the heartbeat will not be seen for the time being. You can wait another week and do a B-ultrasound. If there is indeed no fetal heartbeat, surgery should be performed as soon as possible to avoid intrauterine fetal death and affect the health of the pregnant woman.

The reason why the embryo has no heartbeat

If you can't hear the fetal heartbeat, does it mean that the fetus is not developing well? The fetal heartbeat usually appears around 7 weeks of pregnancy. If you find that there is no fetal heartbeat in the early pregnancy, you should calm down, go to another hospital, or wait another week or two before going for a check-up. If there is still no fetal heartbeat, it may be embryonic arrest. There are many reasons that may lead to fetal growth retardation, including exposure to toxic substances, radiation or large amounts of electromagnetic radiation, taking medications that affect fetal development, smoking or alcoholism, etc. It is recommended to find out the cause and then treat it symptomatically.

The sudden absence of fetal heartbeat in the middle and late stages of pregnancy may be caused by fetal hypoxia, such as umbilical cord lesions: umbilical cord torsion, umbilical cord prolapse, etc.; fetal factors: malformations, intrauterine growth retardation, infection, multiple births, etc.; maternal lesions: post-term pregnancy, pregnancy-induced hypertension, cardiovascular disease, toxic shock, etc.; placental factors: placental abruption, placenta previa, etc. The above reasons will lead to insufficient oxygen supply to the placenta, causing the fetus to die from lack of oxygen. It is recommended that pregnant women go to the hospital for examination and receive appropriate treatment immediately once they find the disease.
