The difference between black tea and Pu'er tea

From an outsider's perspective, there is not much difference between black tea and Pu'er tea, but the difference in their internal quality can be said to be huge. Whether in terms of tea selection, tea baking or tea cake making, there is a big difference between black tea and Pu'er tea. The taste and effects of Pu'er and black tea are quite different.

Dark tea is a post-fermented tea, a type of tea unique to my country, with a long production history and rich varieties. As early as around the 11th century, during the Xining period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1074 AD), there were records of using green tea to turn it black. Black tea is the raw material for many compressed teas. The compressed teas made from black tea include Fu brick tea, black brick tea, flower brick tea, Xiangjian tea, green brick tea, Kang brick tea, Jinjian tea, square bag tea, Liubao tea, round tea, compressed tea... and so on. The main production areas are Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi and other provinces. The annual output of dark tea is very large, second only to black tea and green tea, making it the third largest type of tea in my country. Dark tea is mainly sold on the borders, some of it is sold domestically and a small amount is exported. Therefore, it is customary to call the compressed tea made from dark tea border-selling tea.

Chinese dark tea originated from Anhua. Yiyang Anhua black tea has a long history and is known as the hometown of black tea. The world's first Qianliang tea, China's first black brick tea, the first Fu brick tea, and the first flower brick tea were all produced in Anhua County, Yiyang. Tea came before Anhua had a county. The priceless black tea has been lingering on the edge of the tea world for many years and is unknown to people. It is "hidden in the boudoir and unknown to the world." With the changes in people's living standards and their pursuit of health, black tea has attracted more and more attention.

The main functional ingredients of dark tea are tea complex polysaccharide compounds. Pu'er Tea:

Pu'er tea is made from the fine variety of Yunnan large-leaf tea (Dianqing), which is picked freshly and then rolled, dried and fermented. It is made through a special process of pouring water and piling up to ferment (fermenting).

Pu'er loose tea has thick and plump leaves, dark or brown-red (commonly known as liver color) color, mellow and sweet taste, and unique aged aroma. Pu'er tea has always been considered a beverage with health benefits.
