How to deal with spicy peppers on your hands

Spicy food is very stimulating and makes people enjoy eating it. The irritation of chili pepper is not only reflected in the taste, but also in the touch. Normally when we cook peppers, especially those very spicy ones, if we accidentally get them on our hands, we will feel the spiciness, and if we don’t take some measures, it will last for a long time. So, how do you deal with the burning chili peppers on your hands?

Wash your hands with vinegar or alcohol

Everyone on earth knows that the reason why chili peppers are spicy is because they contain an alkaline substance called capsaicin. When you cut peppers, the capsaicin sticks to your skin, causing redness, heat, and pain. Based on this principle, we know that as long as we use acidic substances to neutralize it, we can relieve pain and eliminate capsaicin. Therefore, we can use alcohol, or vinegar or white wine, which are available in every household, to wash our hands.

Wash your hands with hot water

The principle is the same as above. If you don't know what to do if your hands are stingy with chili peppers, you might as well try this. It might be very effective.

When I didn’t know what to do when my hands were too spicy from the chili peppers, I tried washing them with vinegar, but the effect was not very obvious. Later, following the advice of a friend, I coated the fingers of both hands with white toothpaste, and then coated them a second time after they dried. The effect was very obvious. After about 10 minutes, the pain was significantly relieved.

Apply sugar to your hands, scrub with water, and then wash again with soap.

Rub the tea leaves in your hands

You can rub the tea leaves in your hands, which can help remove the spiciness. Soaking in herbal tea leaves for 2 minutes can relieve the burning sensation.
