Characteristics of medical surgical instrument lubricants : Commonly used medical devices are mostly made of iron with a nickel-chromium layer on the surface. When the nickel-chromium layer is destroyed and the impure iron (containing carbon) is exposed to the air, an oxidation reaction occurs when it comes into contact with oxygen and water, causing rust. The use of medical surgical instrument lubricants can effectively avoid or delay the corrosion of surgical instruments. Ideal medical surgical instrument lubricants should meet the following characteristics: ⒈ Water-soluble lubricant, the effect is stable every time it is used, ensuring effective penetration of sterilization. ⒉ Effectively lubricate the joints of the instrument to make the instrument more flexible to use. ⒊ Anti-corrosion, extending the service life of the equipment. ⒋ Less auxiliary additives, reducing additive residues and spots on the surface of the device. 5. Low foam, does not affect the normal use of the cleaning machine. ⒍ The components are safe and environmentally friendly. |
