What is the process of using enema to treat constipation

Enema is a very healthy technique. Through this method, we can treat constipation without taking medicine. Many patients with severe constipation can achieve the desired effect with just one bottle of the medicine. At the same time, it can also help us achieve the effect of thoroughly promoting the metabolism of stool. However, many people should pay attention to finding a regular hospital and equipment during the enema process, and choose the method and type of enema according to their personal situation.

Methods/Steps

Make sure you have the proper equipment on hand to prepare for your enema. If you say you drank water and it doesn't interfere with the enema, you just need a stand or hook or something like that; to ensure the correct flow and pressure, make sure the enema is suspended between 18 and 24 inches above the rectum.

Mix the desired cleansing solution and pipette into an enema bottle. The water should be between 97 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit. This will prevent cramping or burning of the intestines.

Lubricate the rectum before inserting the enema nozzle. Popular lubricants include: KY Jelly, Astroglide, and Vaseline. Gently insert the tip of your finger into the lubricated anus and try to position the enema nozzle in front of your finger.

Choose a comfortable position and insert the enema nozzle. When taking an enema alone, the most common position is to lie on your left side while trying to bring your right leg toward your belly. If you need help, try resting on your hands and knees with your hips.

Open the valve of the enema to allow the cleansing solution to enter the intestine. Once the enema bag has been emptied, remove the nozzle from the rectum and hold it in place.

Keep it on for 5 to 15 minutes with the bowel cleansing solution. This may be slightly uncomfortable, but it is a necessary step. The longer you are able to keep the solution in place, the better it will reach the intestines and be able to cleanse.

To throw away your stool, you will pass a mixture of cleansing fluid and feces, and expect to make frequent trips to the toilet for up to an hour after taking the enema.

Clean all enema supplies thoroughly, clean each tube with soapy water, and make sure the enema equipment is dry before storing.
