How to clean crabs?

Crab is a very popular ingredient in our daily life, especially in some large banquets or snack stalls, where crab is one of the must-have dishes. Although crabs are very delicious, they have to go through complicated processing steps before cooking. For example, cleaning crabs is a very laborious task. There is a lot of dirt in the gaps of the crab's shell, and it needs to be cleaned before it can be eaten healthily. Let's take a look at how to clean crabs.

1. First pour a small amount of white wine into the bucket where the crabs are placed to remove the fishy smell. Just use an appropriate amount.

2. When the crabs are slightly unconscious, hit them hard, preferably with the back of a spatula, until they are knocked unconscious.

3. This is the best time to take action. Quickly grab the crab's back with your hands and lift it to a level with your chin. This position provides the best viewing angle.

4. Prepare half a basin of clean water and an old toothbrush

5. Put the crabs to be cleaned in. Don't worry about the crabs running around, as they will dive into the water. Some crabs will run out. Just catch them or drive them into the water and they will be quiet after a while. Soak for about ten minutes and then wash.

6. Grab the crab by its sides and use a toothbrush to clean its back, belly and mouth.

7. Then clean the sides of the crab and the base of its feet and claws. When brushing, you should not think of brushing a crab, but rather think of brushing a pair of leather shoes, leaving out every corner.

8. This is the most critical step. Don’t be timid.

Grab the claws (use the handle of a toothbrush to lift the joint of the claws from the bottom up, and use the thumb and index finger of the crab catching device to grab the claws upward along the base of the claws. For some ferocious crabs, you can press down the claws or knock them a few times first), open the abdominal cover, and squeeze out the excrement from the inside to the outside in the middle.

9. Clean the dirt inside the crab's belly cover and the crab claws. The crab is now cleaned.

10. After checking that there is no silt, throw it into another bucket.

11. Put the cleaned crabs into a pot with half a pot of clean water. (If you don't add water, the crabs will run around.) After washing them all, fill the pot with clean water and soak for about ten minutes before rinsing. The purpose is to wash away the dirty water brought in when washing the crabs.
